Located on Madalena, Pico Island, Caravelas is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean on 3 sides and overlooks Faial Island. It features an outdoor pool, a 24-hour reception, and car rental. I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this hotel. It is as close to the ferry terminal as you can get. , The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool has a nice view on Faial, and is beeing cleaned every morning (and they are probably the only ones having a pool in Pico anyway...) You can walk in less than 5 minutes to all the different tour operators (Diving, Hiking, Whalewatching, Rentalcars....) and restaurants. It is maybe a bit dated, but I felt like they were doing their best at being welcomig. They even organise a mini breakfast buffet from 04 a.m - 7 a.m for people leaving early on hikes or diving tours...! Keep in mind that every Airbnb in the area is more expensive , without offering you room service, breakfast or a pool area. If you come to Pico for its great nature activities, and want an easy hotel, thats your place to go!!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa do Mar. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Relaxing atmosphere and beautiful view of the sea and Faial island on one side, and of Mount Pico on the other. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming. Ideal location - walkable distance from Madalena center and from several natural pools, and a 10-minute drive from the airport. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would absolutely recommend!

Beautiful location overlooking Sao Roque and across the water to Sao Jorge. The apartment had everything we needed and when the sun was shining we loved the large balcony-patio. From this location, you're close to so many things (assuming you have a car). Our host was amazing before, during, and after our stay, responding by text very quickly whenever we had a question or needed anything. She was fantastic and made us feel so welcome. The kitchen is excellent, and so are the bathroom and beds. Very quiet at night.

Debora was accessible, friendly, organized and quick to respond. Rooms were a good size and artistically decorated. They were spotless. The restaurant below the property is delicious - we ate there twice. No need to look further. Reviews are correct. Just book it.

Incredibly beautiful place! amazing views (to the sea and mountain) and sunsets. Perfectly designed, clean, and equipped apartment. Deborah the manager was extremely helpful with tips and anything we needed. We highly recommend staying in PicoTerrace which made our vacation in the fun Pico island even more great 🙂

Very nicely decorated two-floor apartment, friendly staff (especially Anna) who explained us everything and gave us a lot of recommendations what to do on Pico Island. The apartment is also very close to the sea and has an outdoor terrace. Definitely recommended to have a sea view apartment and a rental car.

The house is beautiful and so is the garden. We appreciated the nice little touches and wonderful surprise when we arrived. The house was practical and extremely good value. We liked the location being close to one of the piscinas naturais and we were able to swim daily and also walk to the town. It was possible to get to the other main town in the bus. Overall, highly recommend for anyone wanting to relax and take advantage of nature away from the more touristy parts of the island (Magdalena).

The property is in front of the pico mountain. The staff is very friendly. It is quiet, well equipped and clean. There is a laundry machine.
To cut it short: this was our favorite place on a long Portugal/Azores trip. Highly recommended and would really love to return
