The Balinese people are such genuine & sincere people & willing to do anything for you . Love the markets & the beaches. Too many motorbikes, but we all accept that, as that's the means of cheap transport for all Balanese.
Great place to escape if you had enough of the touristy areas of Bali. Perfect location to live the exotic island life. Great place to do all sorts of water sports (surf, dive , snorkel etc).
Loved how many cafes there are that cater to Plantbased eating and the coffee has improved a lot . So many fantastic restaurants. It was really busy with lots of traffic when I went there as it was a holiday in Indonesia so lots of people and cars from Jakarta where visiting Bali which made it too busy for what I normally like . Seminyak is one of the more expensive areas of Bali. It wasn't really a cheap holiday but comparative to places on par in Australia it was cheaper . I noticed lots of rubbish at the sides of the road which is disturbing- but cafes seem to be becoming a bit 'greener' with less plastic straws being used - I took my own shopping bags and refused plastic whenever I could
We walked mostly but taxis are easy to get and cheap. The beach near our resort was crowded and not appealing. Sooo many people doing water sports all together, it turned us off. We had great meals at Mr Bobs. Great ribs ! Bali Collection is a brand name shopping outlet with plenty of places to eat too. Good day there
We were glad we chose this location as there was a verity of great restaurants , bars and shops.. We also had a driver from Bali Safe Tour we used to take us on day trips and airport pickup.
Lembongan is a small island reached by boat from Bali. You can hire a bike for the day or get one from your hotel (cheaper option ususally). Get a local map and drive around, you can see everything in just a few hours. Go over the Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan and have a look there too. Lovely places to visit and very quiet. Many places close around 10pm so start your happy hour early.
Ubud is amazing! I had low expectations of Bali as I thought it was just an Instagramers dream (not about that life) I want real authentic culture and Unud gave me that. So much that I want to live here one day! It has great food (amazing!!!) wonderful people, so much to see and do. We did mount batur trek (wasn't amazing as it was full on raining) but an achievement! We did a half day tour of the rice fields (wasn't impresssed) elephant cave (interesting as it's so so old, but 30 mins max needed) and finally Tirta Empul, holy spring temple, my favourite thing we did. So authentic, beautiful and whilst a tourist attraction it still kept its full cultural authenticity.
I was visiting my Balinese friends who lived in Sanur. They had a tragic accident on 'holiday'in Jakarta and had been transferred back to Bali Hospital. I had been to the wedding of my Australian neice to a Balinese youin August 2016 and loved Sanur then. It is more accessible than Kuta. Not as busy and more amenable to families.
A great city on Bali, the traffic is not as heavy as in Kuta or Seminyak if you are on scooter. A lot of great places to visit near by, lot of pool bars in the vicinity for families and solo/partner riders. Definetly try bebek bingul! Short trip tu Ulun Danu and the volcano. A great place to take a rest for a fee days if you are going to the north of the Island.
An annual festival at the lakeside pura Ulan Danu was beautiful, with a spectacular procession into the prayer area from the entrance. (date:25th June). The whole area was decorated with colourfull artificial or real flowers and Balinese decorations.
Sanur
Tandjung Sari Hotel is a true oasis once you step through the wooden doors off the hectic boardwalk you enter your own tropical Indonesian paradise and nirvana. The food was all delicious with a wide variety of local specialities to choose from and being seated by the pool and in view of the private beach create the perfect backdrop. How wonderful to also witness the young legong dancers by the pool pavilion learning the art of the traditional Balinese dance. The staff were all extremely friendly and hospitable in every way.
The Hotel is really nicely built very nice open plan design, the breakfast is good in particular the smoothie bowl or eggs benedict. The staff were more than accomadating towards me and would help me out in varies ways for example being taken to the shop the fire night I got there for free as I needed water, rooms and towels changed everyday and as a solo traveller in not the party bit of bali I had a nice week hanging out with them and learning about the culture. Special thanks too Yuvie, arsana, denim, arensius, tri
Tastefully and thoughtfully laid out, much attention to detail, beautiful decor. Comfortable bed, many subtle details that made this an exceptional hotel. The staff were all wonderful and very helpful. I especially liked the restaurant and pool with a view of the beach, my waitress,Mei, made my experience even more exceptional. She is a true professional, and really loves her job. With her service I felt special and very welcomed. I will definitely stay at the Indigo Hotel on my next trip to Bali
This is the best hotel I stayed in Bali for my 20 days trip ! I canceled future hotels booking which I have and extended with them as much as I could. Friendly staff & amazing owner very helpful gentlemen Hotel feels like home Great location Very clean and neat Super comfortable hotel Value was superb for the amazing service and care we received. Breakfast made with love Best jungle & nature experience This is the place I will definitely visit every time I visit Bali
Seminyak
I recently had the pleasure of staying at O Villas Hotel in Bali, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. First and foremost, what truly stood out to me and deserves the utmost praise is the consistently friendly and attentive staff. Their genuine warmth and willingness to assist undoubtedly contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere. The level of service provided by the 5 Men team at O Villas is truly commendable, and in my opinion, warrants a solid 5-star rating.
Tropical feel, more immersed in nature. Hotel accommodated our early departure by serving an extra breakfast a day before. Awesome Balinese dance show, restaurant accommodated a reservation for the best table for the show! Free flow bottled water (bring your own bottle) at the lobby. Very large rooms and beds. Mosquito protection ample with mosquito nets. Air conditioning on while we left so we could come back to a cool room. Gracious staff. Great location.
Cozy hotel, charming garden and retaurant. Room was nice, good air con, offered water in a glas recipient in the room, which is great and avoid the use of so many plastic water bottles. Staff super friendly and professional. The hotel offeres free bike. Hotel near the main street in Sanur with many beautiful shops. Sanur is a very lovely and relaxed neighbourhood, less crowded then other spots in Bali we went to. Not near to surf in the dry season, however.
What a fabulous Hotel for my arrival in Bali! So good I have even booked it for when I depart :). The staff are ALL amazing from the gentlemen outside, helping the taxis, always smiling to the reception staff, restaurant staff and housekeeping … all with beautiful smiles and wanting to help. I booked a 2hr massage with Iin at the Spa which was incredible … I have rebooked prior to my departure - what a way to arrive and leave - top class - thank you 🙏
Fabulous gardens, lovely staff, great facilities. I walked quite a bit along the sea front and Bali Gardens definitely has the nicest outdoor and pool area of any of the hotels. We stayed in a garden view room on floor 4 which was nice and quiet. Hotel has little extras like a little shop and money changer on site and umbrellas for guests. The Boardwalk restaurant is located right on the sea edge. Excellent staff there and the food is also nice.
I always stay at Hotel Zia Kuta during my visits to Bali, and once again, I was impressed by the incredibly friendly staff. From the warm welcome upon arrival to their attentive service throughout my stay, their hospitality truly stands out. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the amenities are top-notch, and the convenient location makes it easy to explore Kuta and beyond. I highly recommend Hotel Zia Kuta for a memorable stay in Bali.
The worst Hotel I ever stayed in life lifetime. I don't see the option to upload a cockroach picture found in the room. Bali is such a high-temperature place, there unfortunately, No Air conditioning in the hallway, elevators, or Breakfast Area. Waited for a long time to get the elevator as they just had one and it's an old one. Funny still they have old-fashioned Electric plug points where we can't charge your phone.
From the moment I stepped into the Vira Bali Boutique Hotel I felt, relaxed. It was very late when I arrived but I was very courteously shown my room and the facilities that were available to use such as bottled water, a kettle and tea and coffee, also how to use the air conditioning! The next morning when I opened my shutters and stepped out on to my own balcony overlooking a beautiful pool and garden area. Absolute bliss!
Seminyak
Great little apartment in a great location. Attached to a beachfront resort and all facilities there were included. Apartment had everything needed for an enjoyable time Staff were fantastic and very responsive and helpful. Walk right onto the beach for sunset or swimming. Transport was available right outside the front gate. We come to Bali often and this was a great find. We will definitely be back.
The property is well maintained. Its in a convenient location. Hotel staffs are very friendly, polite and attentive. Breakfast buffeteas great even the ala carte. Shuttle to beach and centet is efficient and private beach spot for Marriott guests was awesome. Courtyard Marriott Seminyak Bali made our stay extra special. We highly recommend this place. Its great for families and couples.
Canggu
This hotel has so cute garden and beautiful pool area in the backyard. Room was okay. Bed is comfortable (not as hard as many other beds in Bali’s hotels). WiFi was super fast so it was easy to work during the stay. Hotel has a big kitchen in the lobby where guests can cook and keep food in the fridge. There is staff 24/7 so it’s a safe place.
Sanur
Hotel Jati is an old style Bali hotel with rooms surrounded by gardens, an affordable oasis in an overpriced Sanur. The breakfast is delicious and delivered to your private patio. Staff is very friendly and will hold your bags for you if you want to wander around the local shops after check out time. perfect stay for a ferry boat stopover.
Sanur
it was a 10 out of 10 score out of our 15 days in Bali we spent 4 days in the hotel and even got out family picture taken there, we asked for permission and the Hotel kindly gave it for us. We also celebrated my son and my mom’s b’day there and had a really nicesuprise from the Hyatt Regency, thank you very much for that 🥰
Sanur
The Tropical Bali Hotel exceeded my expectations as soon as I walked through the entrance. It has a beautiful vibe. The staff was attentive and helpful. The pool provided a respite after a busy day of sight seeing. The breakfast was served outside of my room. The price of this property is very reasonable for what you get.
Paon Desa Ubud Hotel offers an enchanting escape in the heart of Ubud. The traditional Balinese charm, combined with modern comforts, creates a perfect haven. My room boasted stunning views of lush rice paddies from a private balcony, while the attentive staff and sustainable practices added to the overall appeal.
The property is at great location, hardly 10 minutes from beach and they provide you free shuttle service also. The in built restaurant is so amazing with good food and awesome view of it’s beautiful swimming pool. The staff are so good, they are so polite and kind. All in all it’s the best Hotel in bali
