A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. The room was as we expected, with great views. Breakfast, dinner, cheese platter with our drinks upon arrival as we traveled the whole day, a perfect start of our stay. The staff was as friendly and helpful as always and when we had to book an extra night last minute we got the large family room which, although not the great views, you do get red robbins on your windowsill to wake you up which we loved. Hoping to come back again in September.

I loved everything about Cumbrian Lodge. The setting, the room, the hosts, the breakfast were all perfect. There’s loads of parking and the WiFi is excellent. Definitely recommended.
