Being just a walk away from a lovely little pub and a beautiful walk. We were especially impressed by the attention to detail throughout the property; every little thing had been thoughtfully provided. A wonderful stay!

As advertised, the house is located in a serene countryside, surrounded by farms, there was ample car parking available, responses from the host were prompt, instructions regarding the location, access to keys, heating system, wi-fi were clear. The house itself was spacious, bright, very clean, all amenities as advertised were made available. It had a spacious conservatory where we spent long time chatting and enjoying the beautiful views. Kids had ample space to play, watch tele, chat including a back huge garden for sports. overall it was a very enjoyable experience, away from the noise of city life and would highly recommend for a group of family /friends looking for quality break

The kitchen is incredibly spacious. There were nine of us staying and it never once felt crowded. It is very well kitted out, with generous storage for food and equipment, which mattered as we stayed over Christmas and truly put it through its paces. Our host had also decorated the house with thoughtful festive touches in every room, which made it feel especially welcoming. The dining table easily seated everyone for meals, long conversations and games. The annex was a brilliant extra space, perfect for the children to relax and watch films, and having its own small kitchen including a wine fridge was a real bonus. All bedrooms are doubles and each one has its own toilet, shower and sink, plus there is an additional shower room in the main house. This made a huge difference for a large group, no queues, no compromises. The location is exceptional. The house sits right next to the moor, you step out of the gate and can walk for miles straight from the door. The scenery is stunning, and with the house facing due south we were able to watch both sunrise and sunset from the main kitchen diner window, even in mid winter. Ponies and donkeys wandering nearby brought smiles all round. We also loved being so close to the local pub, The Forester’s Arms, where we had a wonderful home cooked meal on our first night. Friendly, passionate about what they do, and a specials board that takes some serious decision making. The gravy alone deserves a mention. A genuinely special place that works beautifully for a large group and feels both practical and memorable.
