Samara Chillout Lodge is a boutique hotel located 10 minutes' walk from Samara Beach in a quiet area. It features an outdoor pool surrounded by a tropical garden. We adored our stay. The hotel is outside of the main town with a beautiful garden and small pool, which was paradise. It was very hot during our stay and we spent more time at the pool than the beach. Tina and Jorg put a lot of love and effort into running the place, and also made sure that my birthday was special with a couple of lovely surprises. With only 5 rooms the place is quiet and private. Our room was huge and had a very large balcony (we didn’t use it much as it overlooked a brown field, given the dry season). There is a paid breakfast that we took once and it was absolutely enough food for an entire day! Free coffee available from 7, something I appreciate very much. I thought the price was very, very reasonable, given the luxury of the accommodations. Free parking was available just outside the doors. Great A/C and wifi. The town had so many dining options that we didn’t get to try all of Tina and Jorg’s recommendations. I highly encourage you to stay here if you want to just chill out while you are in Samara.

The Good Life Lodge offers 6 modern and comfortable hotel rooms and a 2-story house. Wonderful experience! Holger and Natalie were very accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. The room was large, modern, and very clean. Location was super convenient and just overall a wonderful stay! Large grocery store nearby for any sunscreen or snacks and easy walking distance to many great restaurants.

Featuring sea views, Totobe Resort in Jabilla features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and barbecue facilities. Amazing property right on a beautiful quiet beach with hardly anybody on it. A bit of a mission to get there but 100% worth it, the staff were amazing and super friendly it is slightly rustic but the view off your deck is fantastic! The waves are fun for surfing also.

Guacamaya Lodge has a beautifully landscaped and meticulously maintained pool area and grounds, large comfortable rooms with vaulted ceilings, roomy bathrooms with plenty of hot water, to name a few of its wonderful features. Guacamaya Lodge exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and professional, the cocktails in the pool side restaurant were generous and expertly mixed, and the homemade ice cream was decadent and delicious. Guacamaya Lodge is so perfect in itself, and yet, with its location a few hundred yards from a breathtaking, expansive beach, your greatest dilemma will be whether to lounge poolside sipping mojitos, or get some exercise and head to the playa. We cannot wait to return. Well done, Guacamaya Lodge!

Surrounded by the jungle and offering a wooden restaurant, palapa roof bungalows and a swimming pool, Mundo Milo Eco Lodge is located 350 metres from Juquillal Beach. Absolutely everything,especially the hostess and her amazing staff! The host Lieke is very friendly and helpful always willing to show or tell us what’s the most beautiful places to go and see! she makes home away from home feel like home.

Cabañas Cañas Castilla is located on the shores of Sapoa River and 10 minutes’ drive from La Cruz town. It features Orosi Volcano views and one day tours to Nicaragua. Gorgeous place! As a paradise, we really enjoyed the Nature, it is a peaceful place and the host are so kind! The breakfast and the dinner were pretty good, home Made with local products.

Boasting a garden and a terrace, Tamarindo Pura Selva Eco Tree House offers accommodation in Guatemala with free WiFi and garden views. Absolutely beautiful treehouse. Excellent craftsmanship. Sways in the wind with the tree. This is a beautiful place for real nature lovers. There are critters so if you don't like them, this is not the place for you.

Featuring a year-round outdoor pool, Cabañas del Bosque in Nandayure provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking for guests who drive. Cute, well appointed, brand new cabins as of 2022. Remote, but well stocked with electric hot plate and pot, coffee and coffee maker, and mini fridge. And a nice little pool! Definitely don't recommend driving through Hojancha unless you're up for a fairly bumpy/off-road experience. Instead, go through Santa Rita - same amount of time from Nicoya, but way smoother!

I adore this place, the design of the House, the communion with nature, falling aspleep and waking up with the wave of the pacific ocean, watching the sunset… This is an experience i will remember for a long Time, this is the perfect echo of Pura vida, the hymn of Costa Rica. The personel is so thoughtful, every detail was perfect … the information given are on point, for beaches, restaurant. The breakfast was amazing with homemade jam, juice, freshly baked bread, and each day différent, we were waiting for it with impatience. And even a thank you note and they washed our car before leaving without us asking for it …. Thank you for the stay and Hope to be back soon. For info : a 4x4 is needed to go to the House.
