A perfect place to start our vacation in Chile and disconnect from the big city and the cold in Canada. The cabin was beautiful inside and out and the whole property was so calming to be in. The hiking trail was more challenging than we anticipated (which we liked) and offered really amazing views of the surrounding area. Any staff we interacted with were very nice and we appreciated their driving on the very rough road in to the lodge. You definitely can't take any basic rental car, but the secure parking they recommended in town was easy to find and the staff there were easy to deal with, the car was fine by itself for a few days.

La Parva Ski Centre is located 3 km away. This lodge is 45 km from Santiago International Airport. The staff made a special effort to make each guest feel at home. The breakfast & dinners together with the other guests gave us great opportunities to meet and interact with others and make new friends. A warm a comfortable place to stay with great views of the surrounding Andes, especially at sunset.

Museum of Pre-Columbian Art is 41 km from the lodge, while Santa Lucia Hill is 42 km from the property. The nearest airport is Santiago International, 40 km from Cabañas Peñaflor Glamping, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Violeta and her family were very friendly and welcoming. Violets took us to the supermarket on our first day so we could buy provisions.

Lodge Andes offers a terrace. Fantastic lodge! Facilities are great and the views are gorgeous. Jorge and Eduardo are great hosts and prepare delicious meals. A youngster ski team was staying at the lodge at the same time, which was not a problem for us, but it might be for some people who would prefer a quieter place. Later we learned that ski teams usually stay there from August 10th to the 31st. Wi-fi was not always available and it was somewhat slow, so plan accordingly if you need Internet access.

A stovetop and toaster are also featured, as well as a kettle. The cabin was cozy and with a great view. It has a internal fireplace to keep us warm and a heater inside the bedroom. The staff was helpful.
