We loved our stay. The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything we needed, and the neighborhood felt very safe. The hotel didn’t offer breakfast, but we enjoyed discovering the many great restaurants nearby. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, perfect for our family of four with two kids. Bobby’s help with arranging our car and luggage made everything easy, and his warm, welcoming attitude created a feeling of being at home.

I thought a midnight stroll through Central Park would be peaceful… maybe even magical. I was so wrong. The park was dark, empty, and straight-up creepy. I tried to convince myself it was fine — until I saw a rat. Not just any rat. This thing was the size of a cat, casually scurrying like it owned the place. I froze. Then I saw another. And another. At that point, I sat down on a bench to gather my courage… but every sound made me jump. It felt like I was in a horror movie. I was convinced I’d either get mugged or dragged off by a mutant rat army. I booked it out of there so fast, I didn’t even look back. Central Park might be lovely during the day, but at midnight? It's a no from me.

Loved our horse and carriage ride through Central Park.

Loved our horse and carriage ride through Central Park. This was a fabulous way to see a lot of the areas in as short a time as possible. Some beautiful fountains and architecture throughout this park and we loved our time there.

Nice. Be prepared to stay the day to experience it all.

Nice. Be prepared to stay the day to experience it all. We started our day with a horse carriage ride throught the park to get our bearings. Ate Lunch at Tavern on the Green--must call and make reservations! You can also go to their website to purchace gift card! Rode the old carasol, went to the Central Park Zoo, Strawberry fields, the Home Alone Tunnel, ventured over to see the Plaza Hotel and the famous toy store, walked to the Natural History Museum. You can also walk to the Mtropolitan Museum of Art! Would have loved to have more time to rent a bike--would have been fun. It's huge and would take a day to truely enjoy--lots of walking.

Central Park is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of New York city. Located smack in the middle of the city you can explore and enjoy so many outdoor activities like the Zoo, ice skating, Belvedere Castle, Playgrounds for children, running, reading and even people watching is a thing.

Book the horse and cart ride with the group that have a team waiting on a line to the left as you base the park, they will take 5 people and it’s cheaper. They people that bombard you say 4 max so if there are 5 you have to get w carts… this is not the case. Was nice to be shown a route round, be informed of the local landmark and then walk round a different route to see them again on our ouwn time. It’s worth going to the visitor centre for a map.

Better than expected. Staff at check in was great I worked in NYC over 30 years about 3 blocks from the hotel and found it to be perfect for us. To see a show, out to dinner at very nice restaurants, that were off the beaten path, spend and day in Central Park ride on the carousel and ice skating at Wollman skating ring and of course the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center

It is a beautiful hotel and an excellent location. We walked everywhere and took the subway when needed. Many restaurants and Nordstroms plus a mall all right at the hotel. It was safe, beautiful, and the room large and comfy. No complaints, and the views were incredible over Central Park.

This is a practical option for NYC. Great location right infront of Central Park. The hotel itself is just okay. Not great. Not terrible. The room was spacious which is a huge plus for a city like New York. The hotel was crowded and lively. There’s a cafe in the lobby area, and a Starbucks + another local coffee shop right outside of hotel’s backdoor (very useful for morning coffee runs)

Location, location, location. There are few hotels on the upper West Side and this hotel has the full advantage of location: easy subway access, Central Park, Lincoln Center, great restaurants. And not a bad breakfast

The location was outstanding, right across the street from Lincoln Center. The staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful, the room very clean. We arrived a bit before check-in time, and the staff was able to hold our luggage until our room was ready. The location felt very safe and secure both during the day and walking back from a wedding venue late Saturday night. The hotel was a block from Central Park.

Excellent location just steps from Central Park in a quiet area. The apartment was spotless and exactly as pictured, with everything we needed (including strong Wi-Fi). The beds were very comfortable, and the welcome snacks were a lovely touch. Check-in was easy, and the host was extremely responsive and helpful.

The YMCA feels more like a student dorm than a hotel, but it is the only decent place to stay in Manhattan under 100 dollars. The location is fantastic, off Lincoln center, near Columbus circle and Central Park. Very big plus for me: I could use the 25 meter / yard swimming pool on the 2nd floor, which in New York is pure luxury.
