The hotel is located in a very good location up an alley from the waterfront and near the main square. Our room was a very good size and had two balconies, one with a side view of the sea. The staff were excellent and very helpful in organising what we were doing. Breakfast was excellent. The room was very well maintained by the friendly housekeepers.

Very easy to find, just 5 minutes walk from the main square. Beatiful view of the harbour in front, and for the most part a very quiet area.
Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, with a great range of products.
Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Immaculately clean rooms and comfortable beds. Nice view of the square and an amazingly tasty and varied breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bath in the bathroom too. Staff were very professional and friendly and were immaculately presented in their uniforms.

Location was very good, rooms are super clean and cleaned every day. You have to walk a small hill if you're coming from the marina but its not bad. The staff tho were not friendly at all, didn't help with anything and didn't even smile. You can probably find a better deal down at the marina.

We were looking for a quiet place to stay, after some busy travel time. This place was great. I imagine it is more active in the summer months, but we were looking for peace and quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby, though we chose to cook quite a bit because we've been on the road for a while. There were a couple of things we would have like to see (Archeological Museum and Botanical Gardens) but they weren't open yet. That's okay. We come to Greece in the off-season and know what to expect.

It was our first time to Kefalonia, so weren't quite sure what to expect.
We wanted to stay somewhere busy and real, rather than a purpose built resort, so we chose Argostoli. Our first impression was that it did seem quite rundown, especially along the front, but we very quickly changed our views and saw the place for what it is - a busy, working town which was what we wanted. The first night we walked a short distance from our accommodation and soon came across the main square and the numerous streets leading from this which were filled with bars, restaurants, shops, entertainment and that was it for us - we were hooked!! Argostoli is an amazing place, there's lots to see and do, you can visit all the different resorts and great beaches really easily by bus or taxi (if you don't want to hire a car or bike), it has great nightlife, lots of shops, and lovely restaurants serving all types of food. There's plenty of fast food & takeaways if you just want to grab something quick to eat and there's loads of coffee shops. We didn't get chance to do a boat trip or see many of the sights as we were only there for 4 nights, but this is something we definitely want to do on our next visit to the island. Give the place a try and I hope you love it as much as we did!!

It was my second stay in Kefalonia.
It was my second stay in Kefalonia. This time I booked an apartment in Argostoli itself. Previously, I didn't have the opportunity to visit the entire city. Now it turns out that the city hides a lot of positive surprises. The city is beautiful and vibrant. There's nothing missing there. Restaurants, bars, promenade, handicraft shops, main square. A wonderful city, but you need at least a few days to discover its beauty.

Beautiful town.
Beautiful town. Impressed at how walkable / pedestrian friendly it all felt. Loved seeing the sea turtles in the harbour. Beautiful tavernas along the quayside. Wonderful quick, regular and cheap ferry trip across to Lixouri. Walkable to Lassi where there are beautiful beaches and lots of eating places. Argostoli has lots of amenities (food shops, pharmacies, ATMs etc)

Argostoli is an attractive town, spread out along a bay.
Argostoli is an attractive town, spread out along a bay. It provides a good base for exploring the island. You can use local buses to get to nearby beaches: we liked Kalamia beach (quite low key). The ferry to Lixouri, over the bay, is a very pleasant 30 minute ride and there is a beach on the edge of the town there. You can get to Asos (lovely)and Fiskardo (very crowded with tourists) by bus, but get to the bus station early to get your ticket. Agia Efimia is also a pretty town and has a shingle beach with crystal clear water and you can get there by bus. Buy some beach shoes to save your feet from the shingles! To see the loggerhead turtles, go down to Argostoli harbour in the morning, when the fishing boats are throwing scraps into the water.
Kefalonia is a beautiful island.
The King A is situated on the harbour and has lovely views of the sea and the hillside across from Argostoli.
The room was ideal for myself and my daughter - comfortable beds and powerful shower.
Breakfast was a feast! Greek yogurt, granola, fruit, pastries and bread with the option of a fluffy omelette as well!
The staff here are also excellent - didn’t get everyone’s names but everyone was very accommodating (like all of Kefalonia!) - special mention to the lovely Christos that served us at breakfast!
We are so happy we decided to stay at King A. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The hotel is perfectly decorated, the mattress is extremely comfortable, the water pressure is amazing, and the location is perfect. The memories we made here during our stay will always stay with us and we are so happy to now call the owners our friends. They are genuinely amazing people. We can’t wait to come back next summer! Thanks for everything :)
The location is great. A short walk to the sea and restaurant strip. It says that the parking is free, but it is street parking. When we arrived at 9:00pm, all spots were taken. The manager took a pitty on the dumb American tourists who were confused about European parking/no parking signs and gave up his street spot in front of the hotel by moving his car. We rented a boat one day, it was a walking distance to the pier.
Great location close to lovely beach with bar. Other beaches are also within walking distance. Plece is great for the families with kids, no stress from cars. Shop a tavernas also very close. 10 minutes walk and you are in Argostoli - capital town of Kefalonia with many gift shops and tavernas. Michael (manager) was extremely helpful and kind. He was available 24/7 to help or give an advice. We would love to come again.
The hotel is in a very convenient location in Argostoli near the main shopping street and restaurants. Upon arrival, we were given a welcome drink and felt very comfortable in the hotel. The reception was extremely helpful in calling us taxis to take us to the beach. In addition, the breakfast was wonderful as was the restaurant. The room was stunning and very comfortable.
This remains to be my favourite hotel I have stayed in.
Exceeds expectations everytime in all aspects; very friendly staff, incredible breakfast and beautiful, spotless rooms.
This is the second time we have stayed here and I hope to stay on many more ocassions!
Thank you Kefalonia Grand, especially for our special present, cant tell you how happy it made us!
The apartment was well equipped and the location was perfect for easy access to shops, restaurants and the bus station. Fallon was so helpful and welcoming too. The rooms were spacious and the facilities were modern. We loved spending time on the patio and overall had the best week in Argostoli thanks to a perfect choice of accomodation. Thank you!
The property was in an excellent location near many bars and restaurants, the manager Athena was also very helpful in the whole process! she made everything easy when it came to transportation, our stay and suggestions on what to do in the island. she was very easy to communicate with and would respond right away! we highly recommend this hotel!
Amazing views from the balcony! The apartment exceeded our expectations and was super clean and everything inside you could need! The apartment is in a great location being near Argostoli and Lassi!
Elena and Tasos were the kindest hosts and always available to help you get the best from the island and for all your needs!
The bed was really comfortable. Really nice view of the harbour from the balcony. Mini fridge provided, along with robes and slippers. The breakfast was amazing! So much choice and such good quality - the best breakfast I have ever experienced at a hotel! And the staff were really lovely and helpful.
Very beatiful new apartment. Great facilities and furniture. Very clean and daily cared by the property.
Great location in Argostolis close to the city center and to public free parking.
We have been supported during our stay by Athena with a lot of suggestions on discovering Kefalonia.
genuinely friendly staff, willing to help with recommendations regarding best restaurants, beaches etc
very clean, convenient location
its the first hotel we stayed where we felt genuinely welcome
the staff enjoyed helping us in any way they could
The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the island. It has private parking (5euro/day - need reservation). The breakfast is reach but the same everyday. The rooms on the 3rd floor have an excellent sea view and have huge terrace.
Nicely decorated attic, very spacious, excellent location to explore Argostoli on foot and the island of Kefalonia by car or public transport. Anna-Maria, the host, took care of every detail to make our stay wonderful!
Breakfast was very good with lots of options. Location was very convenient. The hotel is close to the ferry over to Lixouri and the main square of Argostoli. Staff were very helpful and even let us into our room early.
This is what you call a value for money. Honestly the most guest friendly hotel I've ever been in! Has literally everything! Super tide and clean! The location!!! Thank you Vanessa and Mother!
