Have been here for a break with my family and as always very comfortable homely accommodation in a fantastic spot.
This holiday home will always be our choice for a Northumberland break.
Bamburgh is charming. The castle dominates and the setting is dramatic. There is a butcher near the hotel who sells pies etc and a restaurant which specialises in seafood albeit at a price. Parking is easy and it's nice to be able to walk to such a pleasant beach even when it's windy and unseasonally cool.

Dominated by the castle, Bamburgh is a lovely piece of Northern English history. The church is hugely historic and well worth a visit, as well as the Grace Darling museum. Good restaurants and pubs and a beach with a view to die for round off the offer - amazing to think all that is packed into a small town.

Bamburgh seems a lovely place but we were surprised that there didn't seem to be a general shop or an obvious one. The range of eating places is not wide and and the ones offered seemed quite expensive. However we decided to eat in the hotel and that turned out to be a good decision.

Great for dogs, lot of dogs staying there and all well behaved and under control.
Nice pet friendly pubs and restaurants.
No late opening shops and very few buses, last bus to and from bamburgh was 19:30 ish, not an easy walk to anywhere else after dark as no street lamps on coast roads.

The Victoria Hotel was brilliant, staff Fantastic, breakfast was included and it was great each morning. We ate at the hotel for two evenings and the food was divine. One of the nights we ate at the potted lobster and that was also 10/10 for a fish restaurant we couldn't ask for more. Would definitely recommend it 👌 👍

We only stayed for two nights - there's lots of history there and we really enjoyed the castle, beach and church. Delicious food readily available and we're planning to return for a longer trip as lots to see in the area.
The property is centrally located in Bamburgh with many eateries within minutes and the castle is only 5 minute walk. The hotel itself offers onsite parking which is great for peace of mind; beautiful decor and rooms were kept very clean. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The key feature for my family was the hotel is very dog friendly - to the point where our puppy got his own sausage for breakfast and came away with a little complimentary present.
Fabulous location in Bamburgh. Parking on site.
The hotel is immaculately presented in every way. The staff are more than helpful and very friendly. My room was spotless and very comfortable. WiFi is brilliant throughout the property. Breakfast is as good as you will find in a 5 star hotel.
I'm not a complainer unless I have very good reason to do so but The Sunningdale is totally faultless and perfect in every way. Highly recommended!!
hotel in a great location. bamburgh is so pretty . walking distance to castle and if you fancy it you can walk into Seahouses. really enjoyed our stay. We were in room 8 on the first floor . the room was a decent enough size , spotlessly clean and very comfy . We had dinner in the hotel one night and really enjoyed it . Everything was spot on and we’d highly recommend
Perfect accommodation for our family holiday. We loved that you could see the beach from the front door (just a short walk across the road). Great communication from hosts, spacious, clean cottage with all amenities we required. Location was ideal for a short drive to Bamburgh and Seahouses. Lovely quiet seating area outside the cottage too.
Location, spaciousness, facilities… complete things like washing machine, dishwasher, oven, stove , Henry ( love Henry’s in Uk) every cottage we stayed in and hotels seem to have Henry’s, cute face… the product made a hit I guess and great sales….
Enjoyed another wonderful weekend break at the Victoria Hotel. Recommend room 15- so spacious with a beautiful bay window overlooking the front towards the distant sea. Excellent service and delicious food. Definitely would recommend!
The cottage is excellent. A short 6 min drive from Bamburgh and perfect for my needs. I did meet the owner, who was most gracious and helpful. Facilities good, very clean and perfect for a single or couple as a base.
Great location. Friendly staff. Large comfortable bedroom. Great food in the restaurant. Good menu choices . Only 10 minute walk to Bamburgh Castle right in the centre of the village. Free hotel car park.
Location is idyllic, quiet, and very close to Bamburgh. Less than 5-minute drive to the castle. Easy parking, excellent facilities, and well furnished space. Was very pleased with what we received for our stay.
Great location, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere in the bar & restaurant, good selection of food & drink. Hotel car park tucked down side road very useful as Bamburgh parking is limited.
It’s a great location - very quiet but close to Bamburgh. It has everything you need and is very comfortable. The directions to find it were easy and the company very efficient.
It’s quiet location and easy access to Bamburgh. Tastefully decorated and well equipped. Beautifully clean. Lovely shower room. Allocated parking in front of the property.
A well equipped, new, light and airy house. Outside decking and seating gave us a good view of the old quarry cliff face and the nesting birds. view of Bamburgh castle.
The location is fabulous with views to the sea and Bamburgh Castle.
Choice of local pubs and restaurants, but need to book restaurants as very busy.
Private parking.
The location is perfect. There is access to the dunes which you can walk all the way to Bamburgh Beach and Castle! The view was just what I needed on my vacation.
