All rooms were renovated in late 2019. Our experience here was amazing! I was a little nervous whether we will be in time for check in due to the long 9h drive. So I contacted the host and they responded to me with instructions on how to get to the room in case of late arrival. I really appreciated that! Moreover, everything besides that was also exceptional: very friendly staff that really cared to make our stay comfortable, cosy and clean room that was staffed with everything we needed, great breakfast. We will definitely recommend that place to our friends and consider it to stay during our next visit.

Furnished in a rustic Alpine style with wooden furniture and floors, the rooms include a flat-screen cable TV, a minibar, and a bathroom with hairdryer. Location was great, really quiet, room was super with balcony, clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and all in all I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is a member of Swiss Historic Hotels. A small rural town well connected by train. Ideal for day trips (by train) to better-known places in the surroundings for visits to mountain tops by cable car, especially if you have some kind of train pass or a reduction ticket. This hotel is fairly old with quaint decor. I picked it mainly because of the value for money. As I was traveling on Interrail, I could use this town as a base for day trips by train to more interesting (sorry) places. I especially liked walking the Schöllenen Gorge (from Andermatt) and going by cable car up to the Eggishorn (from Fiesch), both a short train ride away.

The family-friendly Hotel La Reserve is centrally located in St. Niklaus, 10 km from the ski resorts of Zermatt, Saas-Fee and Grächen. It offers free Wi-Fi, en-suite rooms with a balcony and free parking. Super positive, interested and caring staff. Thank you! Invited for dinner - I recommend excellent pizza, the restaurant is full in the evening. There is a playground, children get high on the street. The room is very comfortable - natural materials, a lot of wood, a comfortable chair just for tired legs (after a hike on 5 lakes). Breakfast is decent - good coffee, cheeses, several types of bread, salmon and sausage, granola and yoghurts.
