Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, is a bustling city known for its cozy sidewalk cafes where you can chill out. The lake with a temple in the middle is a special spot believed to have positive vibes. People say prayers here, and sometimes they get answered fast—I know mine did!
In Hanoi, there's a lot to enjoy, like exploring cool cafes, checking out the lively night market, taking leisurely walks by the lake, and relaxing at outdoor beer joints. Plus, if you're a veggie, there are quite a few food options for you (eggs are considered vegetarian here).
Coffee lovers, get ready to taste different kinds of coffee, and tea lovers, you'll find some amazing tea here too.
Shopping isn't the big draw here, and places like Train Street can be too crowded. Taxis are cheap and convenient, but walking around the colorful markets is a fun way to soak in the local scene.
If you're into activities, you can go boating, hiking, or cruising around. But if you just want to chill, soak up the local vibes, and experience the culture, Hanoi is perfect for that too.
Sitting around the lakes, parks, outside shops, and colorful, peaceful markets sounds like a great way to soak in the city's atmosphere. And enjoying coffee and food while doing so. Even better! Don't forget to add sitting on rooftops and in temples to your list—it's a fantastic way to experience Hanoi's unique ambiance. Walking around the city and taking it all in sounds like the perfect way to spend your time there.

Hanoi is a vibrant blend of old and new, where bustling streets lead to tranquil lakes and ancient temples. Whether you're slurping down delicious street food or exploring historical landmarks like Hoan Kiem Lake and the Temple of Literature, there's always something exciting to discover. The city's charm lies in its lively atmosphere, rich culture, and warm hospitality. Hanoi is more than just a destination; it's an unforgettable experience that leaves you craving more.

The ancient old city with old historical building and unique culture people in the old city. ( Sword lake, big lake … help you escape the crowded building ). I enjoy to eat at restaurants in old city with traditional food. It’s easy to get around Hanoi by Grab system. I have enough with Hanoi and more careful dealing with Hanoi people.

Hanoi is my favourite city in Asia.
Hanoi is my favourite city in Asia. It is so authentic with locals living their real life right around you. It’s busy with the scooters but so much to see and wonderful shopping. The Vietnamese people are so friendly and adorable and I love the Vietnam woman riding their bikes with their rice hats. The food is out of this world.

I was great to have a full week to just enjoy the city and get into the culture
Having the week meant that we took our time to visit all the tourist attractions and also had time to go off the beaten track and explore, finding lots of little gems!!
Breakfast was very good. Specially the Vietnam soup which included for breakfast was very tasty. All the staff members very efficient .They are helping to visitors in all the ways. They offered us a free room upgrade for 04 days period. It was very good and the city view was excellent. I am recommending this hotel those who are visiting the Hanoi Old Quarters. It is very near to Night market and Hoin Kem lake. If we go again to Hanoi this hotel will be my first choice. Thank you for all staff members. Special thank for front office MANAGER.
We had a great stay of 3 nights at the Hanoi Salute Hotel & Spa in the Old Quarter. Every staff member we met was delightful and super helpful, and they did their best to ensure we felt at home, from the moment we stepped into the hotel. They also helped us with Ha Long Bay cruise booking which made things so much easier. The room is neat and well designed, and the bed is very comfortable. Great breakfast with a wide selection of food to cater for all. Many thanks to Sue and the team. Highly recommended, 10/10.
We used Hanoi as a base for part of our trip to Vietnam, coming and going over the course of a few weeks. Every time we stayed in Hanoi, we stayed at Hanoi Lheritage Diamond, and I'm so glad we did. The hotel is clean and very nice, the beds are soft, the complimentary breakfast is delicious, and most importantly, the staff are friendly and helpful. It's also in a great location in the Old Quarter. I would highly recommend Diamond to anyone staying in Hanoi.
I picked thsi hotel to be near the main hospital but it is still in the heart of Hanoi a short walk to the old quarter and to two lovely lake areas. The hotel is very well presented and clean and the staff superbly friendly and helpful. The room was the best I had been in Hanoi. Spacious, clean and quiet. There are lots of shops in the area and being near the lake is wonderful for doing exercise. The restaurant is very good and the breakfast was superb.
5*all the way. We were looking for a luxury hotel in center Hanoi Old Quarter and near Hoan Kiem Lake, then Aquarius Premium Hotel met our requirements. The staff was very helpful and willing to assist any concerns. Room was well-designed, luxury and spacious. It's walkable to everywhere, close to the train street coffee, local restaurants and tourist spots. A new hotel with the grand opening price was very good too. Highly recommend!
The hotel is logistically located in a perfect spot for visiting the old quarter of Hanoi. The staff was the most welcoming and professional that I met in my experience in Vietnam, especially Kim who always seemed attentive to my needs. I will definitely return to this property in the future if I return to Hanoi, I recommend it without hesitation, thanks again.
Hanoi Lheritage hotel was a great hotel in the middle of the old quarters which exuded its own charm. The Restaurant had an amazing view, the breakfast was delicious and had a lot of choices. The room was great but the best part was the people. Hotel Manager was helpful from the moment we checked in until the time we left. Will definitely stay here again.
It’s a new hotel, the staff is putting a lot of effort on making the experience as nice as possible which we appreciated immensely. The location is perfect, in a beautiful street right in between the old quarter and French quarter. While there are some things to improve finalise, I would recommend it if you are spending a couple of days in Hanoi.
Though not close to Hanoi Old Quarter, though not large like other hotels, though not include gym and swim service, Smarana also made my holiday much significant. I had an amazing experience with a litte corner of Vietnam culture. Every project had a meaning behind, like Hang Trong paintings, 4-season room design, from legend to reality.
One of the best hotel experience in Vietnam.
It is in the best part of Hanoi Old Quarter as it is in a slightly calmer and wider street, but surrounded with great local restaurants, café places.
Staff was super helpful, they gave us great advices. We stayed there 4 times in 3 weeks (every time just 1 night).
Great location in area of lots of hotels and restaurants in the Old Quarter. Staff were absolutely great and I know Vietnam as I worked in Hanoi previously. Facilities were good and the hotel made as much out of a small footprint as possible. Breakfast was good choice of food, including great pho.
"We stayed in Luxury Old Quarter Hotel in Hanoi in July 2022. It is conveniently located in a central place near the lakes& cathedral in the old quarters . The makers & street food are near to it . Best part is the staff upgraded our room to Deluxe . Very friendly & helpful staff & services"
Location is the best thing here. The hotel is located inside the old quarter and in the center of Hanoi. The room that I booked is very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast also good with Vietnamse pho, should try this. Staff are really helpful to show me the places that I should visit in Hanoi.
The hotel lies in quiet area of hanoi, which we preciated very much. After that we stayed in the old quarter it was a big relief.
The service was excellent, as well breakfast and style of the furnitures.
Nothing to complain..we would stay again in this hotel.
Our best stay in hanoi.
Hotel is located in the old quarter of Hanoi and it is very close to train street and other attractions in the city centre.
Room was clean and big enough. Vietnamesse breakfast is server everyday and cafe is located in the lobby.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hanoi Victor Metropolis hotel & rooftop bar is one of luxury hotel in Hanoi old quarter that’s some step to lake and night market, hotel located in Hang gai streets ( beautiful streets with gallery shops and silk shops ). We loved their cocktail and foods so much.
Well positioned between the Old Quarter and the French Quarter making most tourist destinations walkable, once you learn how to cross the street in Hanoi!!! Excellent value of money. We would suggest a high floor, as in any hotel in Hanoi due to traffic noise.
I experienced the best service in Royal Palace hotel. Mr. Jim especially helps me a lot and I got a lot of travel information from him. Also, the hotel is located in the center of Hanoi old quarter, so it's very comfortable to travel by walking.
Beautiful hotel located in Hanoi's old quarter, the staff is friendly, professional and willing go help with anything!! The breakfast was amazing with a selection of Vietnamese and international food.
