Excellent location on a pedestrian street (closed to motor vehicles after 6 pm) close to restaurants and local food shops and within walking distance to the Citadel. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Room was cozy, comfortable and quiet (carpeting in the halway helps). Room was adjacent to elevator on a high floor but was not noisy. Staff was helpful and smiling.

Such a great place to see Hue from. Super friendly staff who speak great English, help you with your bags and help organize anything you need. When we were checking in both me and my partner were sick, and they helped organize an early check in for us without notice.

Loved the antiquities museum. Situated near the citadel but a separate ticket. Lovely old wooden palace. Takes about 1-1.5hr to visit. Often missed in the day tours. A day tour is a good idea as they drive you around to the key sights which are quite dispersed. Often excellent value with lunch thrown in.

The Citadel was a little disappointing.
The Citadel was a little disappointing. It has the potential to be a major attraction. The grounds needed lots of attention. The main royal palace was under construction or maintenance, so a 'no-go zone'.
The audio guide and associated map numbering system used to direct users to all the features of the site was very hard to follow and in some cases inaccurate.

Having read about the damage to the Citadel during the 1968 events, expectations about the Citadel were modest. However, both the city and the Citadel turned out to be quite charming and captivating. We spent more than half a day exploring the Citadel.
Using Grab for transportation made it easy and convenient to explore the city.
Just try avoid going during hot periods - we went early April and felt temperatures were extremely hot around 42-44c.

In addition Hue is still not too overrun by tourists, i.e. if you stay a couple of nights at which you have the opportunity to go to local restaurants like CHAN and see how vietnamese families enjoy life.

Hotels don't carry enough tourist information for first time visitors. This should be the role of the Tourist Board. Also a better city map showing more details on how to get to the sites, where to buy tickets and where is the entrance.

Wonderful, very beautiful, very friendly locals.
Wonderful, very beautiful, very friendly locals.
And the food is delicious!
We did everything on foot.
Visit to the Perfume River on a dragon boat, pagodas, visit to the Imperial City with a music and dance show.
The property really does match its name - it surely is a palace! it is stunning! The rooms are very spacious and beautiful- the staff are so attentive to your needs . Alice was amazing! After meeting us at breakfast the first day - on the second day without even asking she brought us the ice coffee exactly how we like it! The pool is beautiful and big! All areas of the hotel
are sparkling clean . They have entertainment - the hotel
really is a 5 star hotel. such good value for money. Don”t miss out on this hotel if you are coming to Hue!
Villa Louise is a wonderful and very welcoming little boutique hotel, beautifully designed in a mix of colonial and ancient Hue style. The location is right on the beach, which, by the way, is clean and sandy, no rocks or pebbles. No other hotels or construction works around, only fishing boats and villages. The kitchen is outstanding, especially if you like the spicier (for Vietnam, that is) Hue cuisine - which we do. All the staff is really friendly, attentive and eager to engage with you in a relaxed and unobtrusive way.
Big comfy clean room, great beds, high ceilings, excellent made to order breakfasts. Very close to river and main Hue attractions. Best of all by far were owners Lien and Tauzheng--nicer, more helpful, and honest people you will not find. Great people doing good business. We arrived new to Vietnam, and left more in love with the country and having made a real friendship connection with the good people at Hue Sweethouse 2. Hue is a subtle gem--great food, culturally profound, easy and relaxed.
I stayed here for a few nights with my partner, and we loved it! We were upgraded to a better room and the service provided by the staff, particularly Tuyen, Uyen, Ngoc, Khan, Chi, Huong, Uyen, Hoai, Anh, and Thu were superb.
The hotel is a great spot as it's right next to the cinema and restaurants. The street in front of the hotel is also shut down at night and is a great venue for street foods and other activities.
I highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Hue.
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable; best pillows in Vietnam so far. We all got massages in the Spa and we all had a great massage, 2 Thai massages, 2 rejuvenating. The location is very good, close to lots of coffee shops and food. The picture windows in the room were spectacular and we were able to watch a movie on our Amazon account on the TV. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend people stay at this hotel if you're staying in Hue.
The hotel is in Hue center, close to everything you need. Beds are really comfortable, rooms are decorated with style and everything is perfectly clean.
Eva, the owner, is a friendly and lovely person, ready to help and give all the information you need to explore the city and the surroundings. She is also helpful in organizing tours and bus tickets to reach other destinations in Vietnam.
We really had great time there, one of the best hotel in Vietnam!
Stayed for 4 nights to visit historical sites in Hue. It was great to come back from a long sigh-seeing day to a very clean and spacious room overlooking the city, river and beyond. It was helpful in navigating our ways as this high-rise hotel was visible from most areas of the city. Very nice staff people. The pool and gym were wonderful as well.
Comfortable set of rooms with excellent views in a modern hotel in central Hue. The location is excellent with food options around the corner, the Perfume River about 5 minutes' walk and the Citadel about 20 minutes' walk. The staff were very helpful with arranging a driver to nearby tombs and pagodas, and the breakfast and pool were also great.
The people working at the hotel were really nice, helpful, and always with a smile. The room was big, modernly decorated, and the beds were comfy. We had dinner a couple of times at the hotel restaurant, and the food was good. Breakfast was tasty and had a lot of options. Location was good, close to Hue Imperial City. Totally recommended.
Maya Homestay is in a great location. Close to some great restaurants and killer Bun Bo Hue. Rooms were clean, spacious, and well appointed. Everything you need in a hotel. Laddy and his family were incredibly hospitable. Bending over backwards to get us transportation when Hue flooded and everything shut down.
Great little hotel at a perfect location in Hue run by the most helpful host that made me and my family feel truly at home. Wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else if I went again. The description is accurate: the rooms might not be the newest but the host's attention for detail more than makes up for this.
This is a pretty new hotel, with very comfortable rooms. Good design. I haven't slept better anywhere else in Vietnam. Felt so rested! Breakfast was also one of the best ones of my whole trip. Hotel has good drivers on call and arranged a nice city tour. Staff is super nice. Best place to stay in Hue
Wow, does not even begin to describe. From check-in to the staff the room the breakfast everything was 5 star plus. My wife was very impressed with the spa. I would reccomend this hotel to anyone anytime. This is our 6th trip to Vietnam and this hotel counts among the top 5 easily.
Really perfect little hotel, very smart and helpful staff that spoke excellent English, beautiful pool, hotel connected to a great Vietnamese restaurant… if there wasn’t Hue to visit I could have stayed a week there
Lovely modern family run hotel. Stunning facilities. Very close to the top tourist attraction Hue abandoned water park. Best hotel we’ve stayed in whilst touring Vietnam. Would definitely stay here again.
