There are a lot to see in Samarkand given the fact that it's one of the most important cities in the silk road history. Don't miss the light show in the Registan Square. I didn't expect there are so many tress in the city given the fact that it's a landlock country here. Flowers blossom everywhere in spring. I am fascinated by the food here.

nice place, nice people, very friendly athmosphere.
nice place, nice people, very friendly athmosphere. The mausoleums, madrassas and musea (don't forget the museum at the mediaval city ruins) are truly remarkable. Don't forget to visit the university quarter (and the Theatre of historical costume «El merosi» and it's coffee bar).
A continuous struggle and ripping off by taxi drivers, so be informed of what you are supposed to pay. Perfect point to move on by train to Bukhara. Samarkand is a grand destination.

Izumrud Palace is the kind of small, family run enterprise that deserves our support. Room was clean and spotless, newly refurbished and everything was in great working order. Bed was very comfortable. AC/Heater worked really well. Smart TV. Breakfast was simple yet complete—with a great supply of varying Uzbekistan pastries. Bathroom even had a heated floor. Balcony had a nice view to the street—but was able to keep away noise because its double paned.
It’s a stone throw away from the Registan—a quick 5 minute cab ride away. Cabs can be easily hailed with the Yandex app—no need to haggle a price and generally fares were priced well. Airport is about 20minutes away and the train station is 15.

Our group had a wonderful stay in Samarkand at the Diplomat Premium Hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful. They even allowed us to keep our baggage somewhere until our train later that evening so we could enjoy the city luggage-free. We are so grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here and it was right across the street from Registan Square!
I don t have words to express the amazing service and hotel. It is a new boutique hotel within walking distance from the main attractions.
The rooms were beautiful, sparkling clean, the towels fluffiest in the world.
The staff - exceptional!!! The “welcome” sweets - much appreciated.
The breakfast delicious with a lot of options.
The best hotel we stayed in Uzbekistan!

The design of the hotel, the amenities and the wonderful and delicious breakfast. I must say that the hotel is one of the most amazing hotels in Samarkand. My friends and I really liked the hotel. Moreover, it can be felt that the hotel staff are sincerely performing their duties. I rate the service as well as the duties of the staff as 10/10.
Cleanest hotel in Samarkand (and I mean that, we haven't seen another hotel this clean in Uzbekistan)! Beds are sturdy and great. Amazingly nice host who is willing to help, a good breakfast and a good location close to Gur-e Amir and the University in a neighborhood for people who want to see the daily life in Samarkand.
I felt at my home in Samarkand Hilton Hotel. I recommend it. You may stay in luxury in reasonable prices. Clean, comfortable, trustworthy and new furnitures. Traditional and modern breakfast included. Personal is very helpful. Thank you all of them. Really I was very happy in 3 days.
one of our best stays in Uzbekistan! The breakfast was home made and delicious, the family who owns the place is very kind and helpful and we could even rent a car with a driver for a cheap price to visit the surroundings! Thank you for your hospitality!
The location of the hotel is perfectly in the city center and everything in a walkable distance. The staff was really nice and helped us booking the next hotels. Also the breakfast was the best we experienced in Uzbekistan.
The family is very sweet. they pick up us from the train station. offers us tea every day. the location is great very close to the center of Samarkand. the breakfast is great. the decoration of the hotel is very cute
Best location for a guest house in Uzbekistan, room and bathroom, although without window, was large with perfect shower.
Also bathroom amenities were above the average.
Just few minutes walk from Registon Square.
A fantastic hotel, well located to visit the sights in Old City Samarkand. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was nice. We stayed here twice on our trip.
Family run hotel and the owner is Great! So friendly and welcoming and will help as much as humanly possible. The Best hospitality we experienced in all of Uzbekistan.
The location is in a nice quiet neighborhood, but it’s very close to Registan Square, restaurants and shops. And the best breakfast I’ve had in Uzbekistan.
