Like many cities Cincinnati is beautiful in parts.
Like many cities Cincinnati is beautiful in parts. There is a great art and food scene, and plenty to do and enjoy. Transit is not particularly difficult and parking is difficult but available, and pricy.
The problem with Cincinnati is the level of crime and drug use throughout the city. One can't walk 100 yards without smelling marijuana and the promlems of poverty and homelessness are continuously evident. The good and bad parts are common to most cities. Oddly right across the river in Newport Kentucky the crime, drugs, etc. Seem basically non-existent. The Newport Aquarium and Hoffbrau Haus were great.

We came away with a much greater appreciation for the city of Cincinnati and Ohio in general. We appreciated amazing food, art deco architecture, art, and science in the city. The zoo is so much more than just Fiona. The animal enclosures are well-designed to provide a reasonable experience for the animals and great viewing for guests. The Cincinnati Museum Center and American Sign Museum were fun too.

Was in for a conference so didn't really have time to spend sight-seeing downtown. From what I could observe, downtown area has a number of closed businesses downtown and lots of constructions which made driving somewhat challenging.

Cincinnati is a great walking city.
Cincinnati is a great walking city. We were there for a couple of Reds games and as a home base to go visit the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. We enjoyed an outdoor concert in Fountain Square at night and it was great.

I think it's like Columbus 2.0.
I think it's like Columbus 2.0. It has more history and has a lot more in the historical category. The houses have a deeper call to the past, and yet updated to the right effect. Columbus has a little more campus location feel, but the U of C is still a very good area. I wish the Reds had a better in game presentation, our Columbus Clippers do a better job. It's empty and the croud feels lost most of the time. Can't wait to come back for a Bengals game this year.
The breakfast was great! it was fresh. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness. The room, washroom, and overall hotel was exceptionally clean and that was a major plus point. Extra pillow, and comforters were in the room. Usually, we always have to call front desk and request pillows and comforter for sofa bed. At this hotel it was the first time that they had everything available in the room. The owners were super polite, we met them around breakfast time and they made sure that we were ok ! we will definitely stay there again!
Large room, comfortable bed (this is always a good thing)
At most hotels, I complain the the breakfast provided doesn't work for me, as I am lactose intolerant. None of the hotels I have stayed at have plant-based milk for breakfast, so I can't have dry cereal with milk for breakfast. But ... Best Western Hannaford Inn & Suites had almond milk!! That was fantastic, I had some cereal with almost milk, loved it ... but there's more to the story, see below.
This historic hotel is quite grand - its Art Deco stylings are really quite stunning and you really get the sense you're staying in somewhere special. The rooms were excellent - huge, comfy beds, memory foam pillows etc. Among all the grandeur, however, what really make this hotel is the staff. The front desk workers were extremely friendly and helpful, while Kelley the porter is a really special, larger-than-life character.
location was within 15 mins of everywhere we needed to go. easy in easy out.
David the manager was very attentive , helped us with any questions we may have had. all staff were kind, friendly , helpful. hotel was very clean ! beds comfortable , spacious rooms!! very close to zoo! best Mexican restaurant right at end of parking lot with smokin’ margaritas !
I love love the rooms.....they are very accommodating....I love how the room has two beds and a sofa bed.....I love the space and I love the fact, when I get to my room it's ice cold....I love that....this by far is the best hotel and when I come to ohio, it's the only hotel I'll stay at. Please keep up the Excellent work
It reminded me of a college dorm. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Bathroom was clean & great shower.
The room is really to narrow & no closed closet. A couple couldn't eat in the room unless you made a picnic on the bed. Best Television in any hotel I've ever stayed. The pool, billiards & foos- ball table were cool.
Awesome location. Jazz band entertainment great. Location for FC Cincinnati has to be best location in entire city. Bar is quaint. Rooms very Victorian period and romantic. Free bottled, coffee, snacks in room nice touch. Bathroom clean and upscale. Staff always nearby and attentive.
The property is located close to the mall and good access to the interstate, the only good thing about the place are the staff , honestly if the staff on the front desk didn’t try to put at least a few thinks right I would have moved to another hotel
very nice and clean made different from any other hotel I have been in I like that they have the dishes stove it the room can go for apartment fr lol and that it’s the first black own hotel in Cincinnati I recommend this hotel to anybody
I did like that there is a place to dine and drink at. Being it downtown Cincinnati you will not find a little diner on the weekends that is open . Your only option is to pay for the dine in experience at the hotel.
Very cool, huge apartment!
Great location in the heart of Cincinnati.
Parking garage and Italian restaurant right opposite the apartment house.
The bed is actually quite comfortable - better than it looks at first!
The location was the absolute best. We had a room overlooking "The Banks" and the room was clean and large. Honestly it was one of the best hotels I have stayed in for the price! I would 10/10 recommend!
6 mim Walking distance to Cincy Zoo! Just 8-9 mins from downtown Cincinnati & Taft Theatre. Very uniquely styled & decorated. Nice terrace outside the back of hotel. Clean! Excellent bathrooms.
Very clean and modern hotel in nice area, kind stuff, spacious and comfortable rooms with lots of daily light and all necessary items. The bathroom was very clean and the atmosphere is really nice.
I definitely want to revisit the Renaissance whenever I return to Cincinnati, the hotel was beautiful and the room was wonderful and relaxing, I absolutely loved it here I’m sad to leave
clean, friendly staff, our King room was amazing, very spacious, loved the spa shower. Best hotel we’ve been in and we have been traveling for 3 weeks so far.
