Spring Lake was a great place to run or walk.

Spring Lake was a great place to run or walk. The Lake and Ocean were beautiful - a very peaceful experience. . We stayed at Hewlett Wellington Hotel - it was perfect - cozy and welcoming. We has a lovely diner at Whispers - just remember to bring your own wine.

    Go anywhere but Spring lake..

Go anywhere but Spring lake..The people who live there do not want any outsiders there. It is clean and beautiful and they have made every rule in the book to keep it that way.No parking on the street between 3 and 6 am,no food of any kind on the beach, etc etc etc..Pay to use the beach.. Spring lake is not for me.Im a democrat not a citizen of North Korea.

We had dinner at the restaurant on site - Whispers. The food was excellent and the service great. Spring Lake is a lovely community at the shore. The hotel is close to town for shopping and a short walk to the boardwalk.

Its a lovely town with beautiful homes and gardens and old victorian homes that are relaxing and quiet. The beach is filled with families and mature people and they are also relaxing. No noise, loud music, cursing or drunk teens.

We were looking for a beach that was less than 2 hours from home. Spring Lake is a beautiful town. We have been staying at Hewitt Wellington for the past 3 years of which I highly recommend. The beach is clean and not that crowded. There is a fee to get on the beach but Hewitt Wellington gives free beach passes with your stay. The houses across the street from the beach are multi million dollar homes. The board walk is nice for walking and its a safe place. The town is really lovely. We always go to the local hardware store for souvenirs. We like to drive around town and look at the houses. It is a quiet town and nice for relaxing on the boardwalk sitting on the benches overlooking the ocean. I highly recommend going to Spring Lake for a visit. My husband wont go to any other beaches now. He likes the small town and its quiet and perfect place to relax.

Spring Lake appears to be a delightful community.

Spring Lake appears to be a delightful community. We found walking in town and to the lake to be easy. The beach appears to be clean and pleasant. We saw the beautiful new pool facility at the north end of town. Unfortunately, for us, it rained during much of our visit so we were unable to use the beach or pool. Our two dinners, at the Breakers and at Whispers, were both delicious. We enjoyed our stay at the Normandy Inn. We traveled to Spring Lake to see the Seward Johnson sculptures: they will remain in town through July 7.
