Queens is more modern and you have plenty of choices for food. I'm an Asian and the food in Queens are little bit different than Chinatown so really depends on the preference. One thing I do notice are Queens has more Malls, big malls so is easy to shop for clothing. And also the hotel cost and parking are little bit cheaper than downtown. If you don't mind to take metro, Queens are good option.

The location was great and A train across from hotel. I wish I arrived 1 extra day to see Queens but we were there just 1 day and headed to Time Square. And in morning had to flight out for our trip. There were stores and restaurants within walking distance. You cant beat the distance to the subway. The room was incredible. If i could afford it, I would absolutely stay there again. The design was pretty cool. The floor to ceiling windows and the curtains around the outside of the room were a clever and impressive design feature. Also via line 7 you reach Times Square directly. It is worth the cost/benefit. If you have professional appoitments at Queens College, as we did, the Q25 bus takes you directly there in ten minutes.

Good beds, hot water with good water pressure, very good bathroom lights for makeup and shaving, hot and cold breakfast choices. Staff was pleasant, professional and responsive. The gym was useful, clean and handy with good equipment for a quick workout. Best part was airport shuttle.

Check in was a breeze thanks to Gorge who was definitely a service oriented guy. 5 stars for the check in and check out staff and Gorge in particular. The room was fantastic...absolutely clean and comfortable. This will be my go to hotel when transiting via NYC.
