This is a do not recommend, place is very run down, you can book for 7+ but rooms cater to 4 max. Animals/pets have been living in rooms and smells like it... Pool has a sign saying closed this summer. Hot water takes 3-5 minutes to reach your tapes, communal Ice maker is broken. The staff work hard to try and compensate for this run down broken Hotel... 4+ staff -1 for the hotel.

The best part of this hotel is its proximity to the highway and to a main street area with restaurants. Best Western has never bothered to update this hotel, fix short-circuited lights, clean algae from the unusable pool, hire a fulltime maintenance staff member who actually repairs the facilities, offer a decent breakfast (sorry, cereal, tiny pastries, and tiny yogurts is not the way to feed adult guests breakfast). Best Western should be embarrassed to operate this hotel on a shoestring budget and leave the facilities crumble as they do. Do not stay here unless you are absolutely desperate for a hotel room. I will avoid Best Western Hotels after this experience.

I was only there twice and only for one night each time but when heading south this is where I plan to stop for the evening. Had dinner at Don Juan's Restaurant and enjoyed it. I also ate at Cracker Barrel and found that enjoyable too.

Roanoke Rapids doesn't have any recreational fun.
Roanoke Rapids doesn't have any recreational fun. It's attractions are food sites and Wal-Mart. Those that live here don't have anything to do so they travel to nearby cities to enjoy their time.

A great place to stay for a one night stand.
A great place to stay for a one night stand. Because of the ever-changing rules of Covid, it would be unfair to say services that were available with my stay will be available to guests at a later date.

I have family and friends living nearby, so I have personal reasons for visiting RR. Favorite places to eat include: Oscar's, Ralph's BBQ, and Cracker Barrel. Since I was born here, I know my way around very well.
Did not choose to have breakfast because of extra charge. Not happy about assessed fee that was not explained until check in. When I questioned the difference in the quoted fee and the higher fee. I was total it was taxes. When I showed that are quote included tithe taxes I was then informed “ Oh that’s our assessed fee.”Which they explained was normal across hotels. Not true. This fee was charged to my card but did not appear on my bill at check out
Did not have breakfast. The bed was lumpy, the sheets were dingy, and the pillows smelled like they needed to be thrown away. We bought our own sheets and pillows because we have had prior experiences staying in hotels. The mini-fridge was filthy. It had a cold pack that had burst and frozen spilled all over. The bathroom was not clean, clean. There was a towel that looked like someone had used it and hung it back as if it was freshly cleaned.
Nothing went well. It’s the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Lobby furniture is filthy. Carpeting thru out hotel from lobby to rooms are so filthy with stains. Toilet bowls are black inside. Have no clue when the last they were washed. Slept on top of bedding was afraid to get under the covers. I’m not a rich person, so I couldn’t go to another hotel, traveled long hours on Monday and needed a short sleep.
property is dated with normal wear and tear and can definitely use a renovation. other than that, everything was hygienic. it's a solid fair priced hotel for someone stopping the night. I would not stay there for more than one night personally. location was amazing surrounded by a Walmart, restaurants and shops. 24/7 staff work the front desk and the woman I interacted was a class act professional. id recommend it
Location was great for us on our roadtrip being right next to a junction of the I95 and surrounded by restaurants to recharge after a long drive !! The hotel is very modern, clean and comfortable with super friendly staff that make you feel very welcome. The breakfast was a real treat, served in the lobby by again extremely friendly staff - many thanks !!
We have never met such friendly staff , Harold checked us in and he was so sincerely nice and welcoming. Every staff member across the hotel were exceptionally nice and great at their job .
Breakfast was fantastic and we loved the pool . Beds so comfy too !
It wasn’t any breakfast, manager and workers were very rude . Ask for towels and etc they kept saying they didn’t have any housekeepers. The hotel need to close down asap it’s a waste of space . I was very disappointed and will never stay there again.
Hotel is old ... in need of serious repair ... had room with two double beds that had no blanket, only a sheet. Bathroom was antiquated and in dire need of maintenance. Picked it for the price, should have known better.
The property was right off 1-95 and had many family friendly restaurants near by.
The staff was lovely and the free breakfast was really great. The pool was also really great and well maintained.
Not a lot really as the hotel was a significant car drive away from any facilities that offered food and after an 8 hour drive this was not what we wanted or expected
