The breakfast was excellent each morning and the view of the ocean from anywhere on the property was incredible!!

A charming and beautiful waterfront town with historic bars, good restaurants and many galleries, jewelry stores and trinket shops. There are four berths for large cruise ships, so it's wise to know when the cruise passengers disembark as many people flood the streets. Recommended: a half-day boat cruise into Misty Fjords National Monument.

The building was run down and needed repairs outside and inside. There were transients in the lobby and parking lot. We were originally given the wrong room as we had asked to have a handicapped room. We were eventually moved to the correct room. We asked for extra pillows and blankets and a bath mat and were given none. We had to asked again and got some along with new towels. The breakfast was only a few things purchased from a grocery store. The coffee pot steamed or smoked when plugged in. I would not stay there again.

An interesting mix of history and commercialism.
An interesting mix of history and commercialism. The restaurants are expensive as is the accommodation, the food is good the rooms often not so. Highly recommend the various museums and cultural centers, some of the tours are ridiculous prices, be aware. Recommend Shogun asian restaurant, Dolly's house and as I said the museums. The free shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes and is a great resource although it stops early.

Ketchikan was a fun town.
Ketchikan was a fun town. It's bigger than we'd expected and we could have used two full days there. Because the cruse ships impact the town so much, it's hard to fly in that morning and book things to do that afternoon. It would have worked better if we'd left a full day to bounce around the town and spent a second day with a sea plane or boat trip.

Mainly a big gift shop on beautiful harbor.
Rooms pricey.
Most activities are elsewhere—whale watching, float plane rides, fishing charters.

They do get a lot of rain but you just plan for it with umbrellas raincoats rain hats and rain pants!
The rain is most often light and makes it cool (I thought it refreshing) but not cold and there were no bugs which I'm told was unusual.
We did the walking tour, the tongass np museum and the combo ketchikan museums. Went on hikes at Bight Park, Ward rec area and settlers cove.
We took the interisland ferry to POW for 3 nights and explored the island driving to all the driveable sites and towns. Very beautiful!
Picked us up from the airport and before the stay even began, they send us a lot of information regarding ketchikan including the airport ferry, hiking paths, and other information. When we were there, they provided us with insight regarding what other areas of Alaska were worthwhile to go to. Fantastic people and a fantastic stay. We also got a free coffee coupon and ate at their sister restaurant. The food there was delicious and affordable.
The manager, David, was a lifesaver!! I was exhausted by the time I got to the hotel. He took care of my bags from the ferry, got me to & inside the hotel quickly & efficiently. Seeing how exhausted I was both physically & mentally, he put me in a room very close to the restaurant, ice machine & front desk. He was a HUGE help.
Friendly staff. With the exception of the shuttle driver.
The access to 2 restaurants in the hotel and a lounge is very nice. Both are very clean and comfortable. Friendly service and good atmosphere. The fitness room is very nice with multiple machines and weights. Also very clean and organized
This is the best B&B style we have stayed at, Nicole & Jim are very good at making you feel comfortable, at home & feel welcome. It's like they open up their home to you, then make sure your satisfied with everything. We will definitely be back, as this appears to be the best around.
Well maintained and run historic hotel. Right in the downtown. Cab Transportation to/from airport was included included, which is kind of a big deal because the airport isn't walkable to downtown and the fluctuations caused by big cruise ships make airport transportation sporadic.
The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful despite seeming understaffed. There was a full size refrigerator and kitchenette with stovetop and toaster, and a grocery store next door. Hotel was walking distance to the airport ferry.
Timbers was great too. The people were friendly and welcoming. Stunning views and amazing weather for our 3 day stay. We loved Settlers Cove and the hiking trails.
A great place to stay on the north side of Ketchikan. Away from the cruise ship crowds.
The front desk was very friendly and helpful to me the weekend tourist! The food at the restaurant exceeded expectations, I had the halibut fish and chips there for my first night in Ketchikan. Rooms was very nice and clean and stocked with coffee.
I contacted the hotel before I arrived and they were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, very clean, lots of light and great views, and is located within walking distance to everything in town. Highly recommend it!
Beautiful hotel and very quaint. Sarah was absolutely amazing and provided over and above customer service. She was extremely helpful, always available for any assistance and made the trip so much more.
The location was great to be able to walk around the harbor and downtown area to see everything. The staff was nice and helpful. Had breakfast below the hotel one day which was really good.
There was absolutely nothing we liked about this hotel except the natural beauty of the water and mountains in the background. And there was a McDonald's right next door.
I was really tired after 3 flights and a 9 hours time difference but the hotel staff were so friendly. The room was fabulous. I ordered pizza and it was the best!
