Well, if you did it in Milledgeville do not stay at the “Heritage Inn” they put the 1st room 110 had a mold smell in the toilet didn’t work, and so they moved us upstairs to room 225 where we had a family of cockroaches that met us at the door could not sleep all night long and fear of the roaches coming on us or getting in our luggage, and they were like they didn’t care about the roaches, and I will never ever ever stay there again. They had a continental breakfast, displayed nowhere to be found. They said they didn’t have one, but that’s not displayed on their pictures so I would really like a refund from them

This city has so much history, briefly being the State Capital, and so many of the homes and structures have been maintained so well for many years. It is such a vibrant and clean city with much to see and do. The colleges add to much of that vitality.

I found a handout at the hotel about the sights and tours in Milledgeville. I didn't realize the history of this town. I look forward to returning to visit the old governor's mansion and to take one of the tours of the city. I learned that even the cemetery from the 1800s is worth the visit. I wished I could have stayed longer. You could see the "antebellum" flavor of the town. During the civil war it was the capital of Georgia before Sherman came down and trashed the city. I was in town for a high school graduation and I didn't stay long enough to do any sight seeing.

Milledgeville is a small college town w/deep Georgian history. It’s the former State Capitol of GA. There’s a main strip/boulevard full of conveniences, eateries, etc. Huey Magoo’s restaurant has a wonderful Watermelon Tea, a novelty, that’s highly recommended. Lake Sinclair offers water fun/sports! & Georgia Military College (GMC) campus is tour worthy!

We enjoyed visiting our daughter at Georgia Military College. The town of Milledgeville is very please to walk. Lots of great eateries to pick from Including dinner at the Reel Grill, Lunch at Amici's, and coffee at Blackbird's. Town is situated between 2 Colleges so there was lots of activity in town over a very pleasant weekend.

The historic/college district was absolutely gorgeous.
The historic/college district was absolutely gorgeous. It was easily walkable with tree-lined streets for shade. Parking wasn't a problem. There were a couple of cute little shops and a few eateries with better than average food but greater than average ambience on the little strip downtown. The arboretum was very nice with plenty of paths to walk and explore. The business district was typical with most things common to a medium-sized city, complete with a Walmart, Lowe's, fast food and dining establishments, but the Krispy Kreme was a very surprising bonus. Milledgeville really needs a luxury hotel, other than the run-of-the-mill chains, and preferably in the historic district. Because of this, I will probably not return unless for business.
I have stayed here several times. My rate varies by $100 per night depending on some dates. Room and faculty is clean and well maintained. Location is great and breakfast is good. Staff is very helpful. Just wish my rate would not have such large swing in costs bc that will make me compare and possibly switch to other hotels in Milly.
The location of the hotel was great. We were close to a lot restaurants and fast food places. The size of the room was great and spacious. There wasn’t much traffic coming through the hotel, which I liked.
My stay was great the staff was nice and friendly and the breakfast was delicious I would most definitely recommend my to stay at the Fairfield hotel in Milledgeville
This was the worst hotel I've ever been to. I had booked for the week in advance for work but left after the second night. They gave me a partial refund. Thankfully!
