FAQs about hotels in Providence
On average, it costs $198 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Providence for tonight. You'll pay around $215 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Providence will cost around $163, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
The King Suite was amazing and perfectly set up. It had plenty of space and 2 separate ac/heat units so we were able to keep both rooms at the perfect temps. The shower was great for pressure and hot water settings. The room had 2 big tv’s and living room side had plenty of seats and a great couch as well.
There is a club attached to the hotel with live music which was great and the hotel had a small bar with an amazing Bartender. He was funny and could hold a great conversation with all of us at the bar of all ages. The price for drinks wasn’t too bad either.
Some of the things I didn’t like was the pricey breakfast as they do not have a buffet style you have to order individual items off a menu. It cost us $50 for 2 people to have breakfast and a coffee. Also the pillows on the bed were not that great, they could use an upgrade for the price you pay to stay here.
All in all it was a fun hotel stay and was great to see all the staff smiling and willing to help/answer anyone’s questions. The hotel is run by good people you can tell by the quality of the staff. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip back to RI.

Providence is an amazing art and culture city that has a million things to do, from big museums, a large mall and great restaurants, all the way to small book stores, bars and galleries tucked away everywhere. Plus, it's small and you can experience the city, the beach, the forest, all of Rhode Island quickly and easily. Plus, a great LGBTQ+ scene in a very accepting environment

The trip was great!
The trip was great! A weekend is a nice amount of time to spend. The food is really good, try Nicks on Broadway and sit at the bar to watch the kitchen. The zoo is wonderful, make sure you ask when the elephants will be inside. Gather Glass was another stop to make ornaments, really great group and a fun experience. Would highly recommend Providence for a weekend stay!

Providence is a nice small city with several universities, including Brown, which we went to for a graduation. It is very manageable to walk around, is very proud of its old buildings (many old homes) and protects them with historic preservation status. Many have plaques with names and dates of construction.
It is also near Newport, Wickford, and Jamestown and all the history associated with those port cities and their wealthy patrons.

We had a bday dinner at the capital grille, impeccable experience.
Had drinks later at Barnabys pub and a local Irish pub... both places were very comfortable and welcoming.

I hate staying in hotels that are small, old and off the beaten path. The Dean hotel is all those but I loved it. From the original floor to the outstanding attitudes of the workers, I wish I could have stayed longer. They were so helpful in telling me some good places to eat and see. I will surely stay there again the next time I'm in Providence. I can't say enough about this hotel. You have to experience it to know what I'm saying. Make sure you eat at Murphey's pub which is right next door. The house pickles are fantastic and I can't say when I've had better fish and chips. Take the time to walk downtown and see the sights . So much better than driving.
Right in the center of the city - just a short walk from the Amtrak/commuter train station, Kennedy Plaza (central bus station), downtown and the rivers & canals. Plenty of restaurants, shops and things to do. - The Brown U campus s about 15 minutes away, if you are college-shopping or attending a conference.
The staff is universally friendly, helpful and knows the area very well.
Rooms are large, comfy and clean, and with great views of Providence.
Breakfast is available daily from effectively an in-house Starbuck.
Resident Inn in Providence RI was outstanding. Upon arrival I received a friendly greeting. My room was ready early and I received a text to notify me of that. The hotel was spotless. Plenty of staff around to ask questions all were friendly and helpful. Perfect location easy walking to all attractions. I spoke with a gentleman named Jay who I believe was a hotel manager he was very friendly and helpful freely told me his name in case I needed anything else I complimented him on the hotel cleanliness
Very central location, many restaurants easily accessible by walking. Elvis is a very friendly host, always happy to help. The place is super quiet and the common areas are very clean, independent of the time of the day or night. I would always book this place again for another visit. The bus station is only a 10 minute walk away from Elvis' house if you want to explore Rhode Island.
Great location downtown Providence and it was pretty much the cheapest room in the area. Furniture was a big old, but everything was spot clean, big bathroom, comfortable bed and complimentary breakfast was simple but functional. It was serve 6-10am which was great. Stored my bag before checkin and after checkout. Staff was really friendly.
Christopher Dodge House is a traditional inn, with high ceilings, handsome public rooms, lots of stairs and a welcoming staff. They serve a generous breakfast in a handsome dining room where you will see and meet other guests. The Inn is a 15 minute walk from downtown Providence and the railroad station. It feels like a family business.
I loved the separate mirror in the bathroom, authentic. I called it the makeup mirror.
The showers were also WONDERFUL, overhead shower with a good stream of water. Not to mention both hot and cold water available.
The WiFi was also great.
In all, my stay at the Dean Hotel was AWESOME and I will visit again.

The price, definitely was cheaper than a hotel in downtown. Location wasn't too bad. Walkable to some shops, restaurants. Fullitchen. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Tvs in the rooms. Roku and streaming apps. Big living room area. Easy and quick response for landlord.
The staff was helpful and friendly, and my car was always ready quickly by the valet service. The room was large and the bathroom was well-appointed. The hotel is centrally located in the business district, and only minutes away from most of downtown.
I didn’t realize that we had a skyway bridge that connects the hotel to Providence Place Mall. Lobby has an attractive elegance and Fleming Steakhouse is also in the hotel. It is not far from shops and other restaurants either.
Literary themed room suites. Nice academic touch to the hotel's association with local universities. Also this property, location convient to downtown theaters and restaurants. Many are within comfortable walking distances.
I liked the decor and the private rooms as well as the size of the room. The location was very close to downtown Providence and had a 711, Dunkin, McDonald’s, etc for quick grabs.
Funky funky cool hotel style and decor. Lobby smells amazing…Santal 33.
Rooms are huge. 2 king beds and a spacious living area is standard. Room style just incredible.
