One of Eastern Europe’s oldest cities and the Ukrainian capital, Kiev is a hospitable city with lots to offer from historical heritage to inspiring architecture and modern commerce centers. So jump on Kiev’s impressive metro and enjoy the ride!
The city features many pious places with golden-domed and cave monasteries, orthodox churches and cathedrals. Among the most famous is Kiev Pechersk Lavra, one of Ukraine’s most important monasteries, founded in 1077 by St. Antoniy. Another is St. Sophia’s Cathedral housing the world’s largest collection of frescoes and mosaics from the 11th century onwards.
Kiev is not only known for its sacred buildings, it's also very rich in the people’s history. Over 40 different museums are visited by millions of guests every year. It includes the Museum of the Great Patriotic War with a stunning, more than 330-foot tall monument of Mother Motherland.
After a day of sightseeing, make sure you visit local bars and restaurants for a selection of Ukrainian cuisine: the delicious Borscht, pancake-like Mlyntsi or the unique Kvas, which is a brewed bread drink.
Whether you’re flying to Boryspil International or Zhulyany airports, the center of Kiev is just a short ride away. With over 280 properties, Booking.com has a selection of apartments and hotels near the airport and downtown.
I loved how advanced and beautiful the city is… very nice 5...
I loved how advanced and beautiful the city is… very nice 5 stars eating plačeš and many fun plačeš too.. loved how affordable transport was using metro and buses and in general even with the war the city is still intact and safe. People exaggerate Kyiv to be a war zone but it really isn’t . Life is going on just fine 😍

Kiev is a world class city.
Kiev is a world class city. It is splendiferous and beautiful. Get there if you can. You will thank me. Be brave. Visit Kiev now..or wait until the nonsense ends and the hordes descend upon it, which will happen when commercial air service resumes.. Kiev will flower. The Ukraine is wonderful. Stand with Ukraine.

Tourist trap at Майдані Незалежності :(
But a lot of kind people everywhere.
I am sad I didn't have time to visit the left side of Dnipro.

City transportation is very good!
Mobile applications Uklon for taxi and Glovo for food were very helpful.
I ate at Puzata hata at Kontraktova Ploscha and I loved!
I also ate at vegan ORANG+UTAN bar and have visited Druzhba café.

Kiev is a grandiose city you will hardly find similar scales...
Kiev is a grandiose city you will hardly find similar scales in central Europe. What makes it very special is the hills and for a viewing point you do not need to look for rooftops of restaurants or business centers - Kyiv can be viewed from a thousand angles from a height just by walking around it. It's especially interesting to know the historical context and to see a map of the city in the 11th century.

Not safe at the moment due to the current war with Russia.
Not safe at the moment due to the current war with Russia. Constant alarms of rockets flying by. Curfews at 23:00. Police will stop you and demand to see your passport and question you about the reason to be in ukraine. Walking after sunset can be dangerous, thieves might target your belongings. Make sure you carry medical insurance with evacuation. Make sure your insurance can provide immediate payment to emergency facilities otherwise you won't get any treatment. Or pay in cash in order to be treated.
An exceptionally modern & spacious hotel, with all of the comforts & amenities you could hope for: minibar/ fridge, separate workspace, queen size bed, helpful 24/7 English-speaking receptionists, centrally located yet “tucked away” in a courtyard for added privacy & quiet. Very close to 4 & 5 star hotels at MUCH higher price points. Parking available for those that need (also a rarity in this part of Kyiv)
Location is really close to exchange office, market and metro. All the things a tourist needs. Only 1-2 stations to city center with metro. Also, it costs 300 to boryspil airport, around 100 to/from city center with bolt's taxis. Staff was helpful and kind. Reception is on the 3rd floor so you can easily bring company to the hotel without someone staring at you. Rooms feels secured with 3 step security.
The hotel meets all qualifications and more for a four-star hotel. The staff is friendly and service-oriented. The location is right in the heart of the historic city center, still very quiet at the same time. With respect to the current situation in Kyiv, where air raids are the city's daily practice: the hotel has a comfortable air raid shelter, even providing coffee, tea, water and snacks there.
The location of the hotel is the best location for a tourist visitor in Kyiv. The hotel staff are all friendly and very accommodating. Food is perfectly amazing and you are enjoying the meal with your view of the iconic peoples arcs. Security is very well. I am coming back to Ukraine on Summer or Spring and I will choose the same hotel.
The location is tucked away just off of Independence Square and has a pharmacy, liquor store, and several craft breweries and smaller restaurants on the same street. The facilities are clean and very modern. the room had one of the best air conditioners I have experienced in Ukraine. Also the personal sauna in my room was amazing.
The best cost-efficient hotel in the city. Staff was very kind, clean room and shower, great balcony to have breakfast and sit. Everything was great comparing other hotels. Also near location to Nivki metro which 6-7 stop away from the city center. Bed is big for one person. Thank you Petrani Nivki
The best thing was the location of the apartments. It was near the best restourantas and in the city center. Maidan square was very near.
Property was clean and had all the required appliances from dish washer to a washing machine.
It was spacious and very good for group of people.
The hotel located in city center and surrounded by city sights. It has I guess 4 floors and big amount of suits. The suite is cozy and has brand new facilities. I had an enjoyable time there, I found good spot to stay in upcoming travels to Kyiv. I really recommend this hotel!
Great location. The hotel is located within walking distance to the city centre, metro station and the railway station. It also has modest interiors which most hotels in Kyiv lack. There is a fantastic Georgian restaurant (not the fast food one) right next to the hotel.
The only good thing I have to say regarding this hotel is - the host was a nice and friendly person. It has a good location only if you are going to the US Embassy, and it was hard to get to the city center because the metro station was 15 mins away from it.
It's a decent place in Kyiv and very central. Breakfast is okay and the rooms also. Ukraine is at war so you cannot expect the same commodities from this hotel as from an Ibis let's say in Germany or Poland. Still, every time, I go there, it's a bit better.
This is amazing option for those who looking modern hotel close to city center. I love the design of hotel and our room in specific. Very comfortable shower and nice bed. Air Conditioner worked good.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful!
Fab hidden hotel in the burbs, easy access to Metro and the city center. The first room (double, second floor) was absolutely gorgeous, the 2nd room (loft roof) was small and dark. Overall, an excellent stay, would stay again
it is hostel but somethings like hotel. For example clean, towel and bedspread. Also stuff is always so kind. Additionaly Druzi Cafe in Hostel it is so good for who stayed. Use for sale%10 because of stay here.
Amazing hotel in a quiet district near the city center. The room was clean and cozy. The staff was friendly and always ready to help. I am glad that chose this place. Thank you!
