I think there are many interesting places to visit in Taichung. Its a city in transition i want to visit it in 5 years or so again to see where it's at. But probably won't stop here again till then, nothing any other city doesn't offer. WIth that said..... great place to do a day trip for specific things... If you have 2 days to spare visit and plan your day so you won't waste time. Restaurants open late, they definitely move at a different speed with many places closed Wed. If you are vegetarian or vegan great places to eat here. Do Uber eat my Taiwanese friend used it all the time. Great Museum and right next to the museum don't forget to eat at the restaurant the home of where boba tea was created. Rooms were clean, no musty smells. The eating area in the foyer was really user friendly with a microwave & coffee/tea facilities.
