This is a lovely little island with a full range of accommodation choices and loads of wildlife to see. The bathing is difficult only because at low tide it is muddy and rocky on most beaches. Just pick high tide to swim. Lovely people. Cycling is a very good way to get round.

Very calm, peaceful and relaxing!
Very calm, peaceful and relaxing! If you want to get away from society, noise, civilization and tourists, this is your place! Beaches are not the best but they are clean and empty. The most exciting thing to do in this Island is kayaking to Nok Island (30min) and once you arrive hike the trial to the top for the amazing view! One of the best we had in our whole trip in Thailand. Also, renting a scooter and discovering the island by motorbike, stopping in each beach. So safe and relaxed. I recommend to stop by Stella's restaurant for eating o for a smoothie, super home made food and good price and views by the beach. For sunset, either Sunset bar or Hiddenout beach. Perfect place for getting away from noise but not if you want to party and meet people.

The island overall is not very built up and seems a bit rural when driving through. However there are very nice restaurants, cafes and bars to go to. We rented a scooter and drove almost around the entire island which was a very cool experience.
We were slightly dissapointed though with the beaches which we were partly to blame for as we did not research before. The tide was far out for most of the day so we didn't get a chance to swim in the sea. The beaches are all very rocky as well so even when the tide comes in I'm not sure if we could've swum.

This is a quiet and undeveloped island - so if that is what you are after it is great. I enjoyed getting on a bike and exploring the different parts of the island: remote beaches, local villages, paddy fields, plants, trees and wildlife. There are a few hills that you need to tackle but this was part of the healthy enjoyment of the island. At high tide I walked over to the small island in Tha Khao beach and swam in the sea, lay on the beach and watched the Brahminy kites - most days I was the only person there. There are some other remote beaches on the North East coast that you can hike/bike/scooter to. The best lunch spot was Chaba Cafe which has a shabby chic vibe, really good local food and serves a good macchiato. I had a few dinners at the Sook restaurant at the Suntisook resort which again had some really tasty Thai food.
I found that you need cash everywhere on the island so you need to plan to bring enough THB. There are a lot of ATMs but they either run out of cash, are out of service and on top of that charge a lot to do FX i.e. flat fee + 5%.

The nature was propably the best also it was very quiet there. The resort was very clean and the pools in the apartments were the best.
The only problem was the food. The kitchen need’s
a restart. If Gordon Ramsay would come there i think the kitchen would be a lot better and he would help make it better.

It’s a super relaxed and chilled island compared to many of the neighbouring islands (Phuket and Phi Phi). As a quieter island, it’s easy enough to have a beach completely to yourself!
There is plenty to do on the island to have a fun trip at a slow and steady pace - cycle, bird watch, boat trips, yoga (at Yoga Island) etc. It’s not a party island with most of the restaurants / bars closing by 9/10pm.
Lots of mosquitoes- so have the big spray ready. It’s super easy to see Hornbills and loads of other birds.
The tides can be frustrating as at times - on the eastern side of the island the tide is only in for a few hours. But most hotels have pools.
The 4 island trip is a lovely day out from the island and pretty cheap compared to other similar boat trips I’ve done around Thailand.
Overall 💯 recommend visiting here if you are looking for a relaxing trip on a beautiful island with lovely people
We had a wonderful stay in Annie’s garden paradise. The bungalows are very spacious and sparkling clean. We loved the vast balcony, where we had the delicious breakfast that Annie left at our door handle every morning. She even offered to pick us up at the pier upon arrival, dropped us for a lamp festival and helped us organise a boat trip to the magnificent islands surrounding Ko Yao Noi.
The restaurant next door offers delicious food and it’s a five minute walk to a sunset bar (the bungalows themselves do not have a beach view).
I love this place! Its a family run place and everybody makes you feel extremely welcome and at home. Here you learn everything about the island and about Thai culture. The location is central to everything. As a sole female traveler I felt save and always looked after. You can choose from simple clean and cosy double rooms to more fancy bungalows. Everything you wanna do on the island can be organized by the lovely family that runs this place. I highly recommend this place as I myself keep coming back each year.
The bungalows are equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable island stay. I was impressed by the attention to detail that showed throughout the design of these buildings. Our bungalow felt really new, clean and fresh, surrounded by beautiful nature. Loved the rice paddies and birds around too. Away from the 'hustle and bustle' of the island (very relaxed overall), yet close to restaurants, market etc. Would recommend and can't wait to be back!
Tabeak exceeded our expectations! The huts are brilliant with everything that you will need & a beautiful view. The fan is really powerful, so there is actually no need for air con. The breakfast which is included is absolutely delicious and the owners are so welcoming, kind & give you all the help & information that you need. The location itself Ko Yao Noi was one of our favourite places we visited in Thailand, 100% recommend Tabeak and this island.
A very large, well built wooden style bungalow. Fridge, teapot with coffee and tea supplies. A nice porch with table, chairs, hammock. The mattress was soft and the bedding was good hotel caliper. …. And, they delivered a breakfast each morning ! - simple, but when someone brings me breakfast, it is fantastic.
A small property, maybe 4 (?) bungalows, so is quiet and private. Not close to anything, so motorbike is essential. I stayed 3 nights.
Loved the relaxed vibe and beautiful beach.
Plastic-free and environmentally conscious hotel is a big plus especially when Thailand can be quite polluted.
Attentive staff, working hard to please all guests.
beach massages were really great reflected a good value option against spa massage prices.
Beautiful scenery and position and we particularly liked our room (373) with a lovely view to wake up to each day.
total bliss!
The bungalow accommodation is affordable and comfortable. The staff are always lovely and helpful. Our bungalow had a large balcony with a hammock for quietly contemplating the day. Some bungalows have better views than others but the water is very close. The food at the restaurant is excellent. I highly recommend the Thai breakfast which is a congee-type soup.
beautiful place, beautiful family, incredible hospitality, the room was super spacious and clean, with a nice view of the water. to be honest, compared to all of our travels in thailand and around the world, we will never forget suntisook. and after eating throughout KYN, their whole fish with curry was still lingering in our minds. a million thanks!
The location was great, small hotel with a very helpful manager (Nancy) and all the staff also. In front of the beach and with a nice swimming pool and many restaurants in a walking distance. A good location to discover Yao Noi Island. They also the rent scooters, kayaks & bicycles...very convenient.
It is a really nice, comfortable and clean place in front of the best beach of Koh Yao Noi. We felt at home, the moment we arrived. Very nice bungalows with everything you need in walking distance. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We are already planning on coming back.
Very friendly staff. They try to accommodate every request I had without any problem. Very good breakfast! The room was nice and spacious, immersed in nature. All very clean. The view of the sunset from the hotel is magic. It is easy to hire a scooter and go around the island,
Quiet, home like grounds. Pool is warm (all were in Thailand), clean, and open 24 hours. Villa was spacious and had a good, reasonably priced minibar. Good fridge, soft bed, nice big patio. Provided mosquito coils and bug spray. Restaurant food and service were so so good!
We had the most perfect stay there. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and clean. The staff is very kind, welcoming and helpful. And last but not least, the hotel is located on the most beautiful beach of the island. It is heavenly and felt like home.
Location is great. It’s a good opportunity to escape from reality and enjoy nature to the fullest. The hotel provides island hopping tours which was one of the highlights. Staff is very friendly in general. Food is OK.
Really friendly host - Nina who helped with moped rental and arranged v last min for us to go to different island.
Bungalow basic but clean cute balcony .
Restaurant nxt door served the best food we ate in Thailand!
The best resort I have visited in my life, I liked the treehouses with all their details, the staff are extremely friendly, it is an example for any establishment, business, resort or hotel in hospitality industry.
The owner gave me tips of hidden beaches to go to and with found myself alone in paradise. He and his wife also cooked us a delicious barbecue and soup fish on my last night. Super fresh and incredible.
Facilities were first-class and the service was impeccable. The kitchen and bar staff made it feel as if we had private chefs. Meals were the best we had on the whole island. Highly recommend.
Incredible place - spectacular views, such a relaxed vibe with a lovely owner. Rent the scooters and explore the island. See the sunrise from your hillside paradise.
