It was set on a hill so the higher you went up the better the view of the beach below. Our room was pretty low, so we didn’t have a great view but the pool and breakfast were higher up and the view was stunning. The rooms were cute. Also a good thing to know is they are Muslim owned so they do not sell any alcohol on site.

Beautiful hotel, surrounded by amazing views. The rooms were huge and had everything you could possibly need. It felt so tranquil here. The pool was perfect for dip before sunset. Can’t believe it’s only a 3* hotel.

What an incredible property. The location is ideal. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The villa was gorgeous. The pool is breathtaking at sunset and the water was very refreshing. They have showers at the pool to wash off the chlorine which was great. The restaurant next to the pool has good food for a reasonable price. The wifi was strong. The AC worked very well.

Came to Alama with 20 of my friends on an extended honeymoon – can't speak highly enough about the friendly staff for making the stay amazing. It's walking distance to the beach, 7-11, great restaurants, and of course, Why Not Bar. They also helped organize a last minute boat tour and everyone's outbound transportation. For the very reasonable price, the quality of the rooms and pool are amazing. I would stay at Alama whenever I come to Koh Lanta.

This place is a paradise. Set on the side of a hill, surrounded by beautiful frangipani trees. We stayed in the one bedroom villa. It was like our own luxury tree house. It was comfortable and we had a lovely view of the ocean from our unit. Besides the amazing staff, the pool is definitely the best part of Alama Resort. The size of it as well as it's positioning allow you to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding area. The breakfasts were good and they have bikes to rent as well as a spa. They also have a restaurant attached. They carried our bags up to the rooms and helped us again when checking-out. The location was also perfect. Near the beach and just a small amount of night life to enjoy. Some really great beaches down the road.

Loved the big villa style room! Great privacy with a private patio underneath. Loved the traditional Thai design as well! The room is spacious and comfy! They Also have really good room service who proactively replaces my waters and towels everyday. Liked swimming at night in the pool too.
