Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, while maintaining their own identity.
Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is cheap and delicious dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.
For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city center. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.
As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo providing the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.
Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodations ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.
As a solo traveller I feel very safe wondering around.
As a solo traveller I feel very safe wondering around. The Hawker Food centres are fantastic, you can eat somewhere different every night at a very reasonable price. Singapore is a terrific 1st introduction to South East Asia, so much culture yet never overwhelming.

We loved Singapore. It's so clean and we always felt safe.
We loved Singapore. It's so clean and we always felt safe. Public transport worked like a charm. (We live in Hamburg / Frankfurt, so we know what we are going through with German public transport). Singapore's citizen are friendly and welcoming. We often had the chance to chat while we were waiting for the bus or riding the bus, and we loved to hear about Singaporian day-to-day life. During our 10 days stay we had the chance to see and do a lot without being under too much pressure due to lack of time. We went there during Chinese New Year, which was lovely, but you have to bear in mind that during that time many smaller establishments might be closed.

Singapore is a clean, vibrant location worthy of a visit.
Singapore is a clean, vibrant location worthy of a visit. The people are extremely friendly and helpful and getting around is very easy. It can be oppressively hot, however all buildings we visited were air conditioned and that eases the heat very quickly.

Singapore is a very clean location with a lot of things to do. Be mindful that Singapore is not cheap to travel from accomodation to meals. Activities like Universal Studios and the Mandai Wildlife Parks (Zoo, etc) are equally dear to access.

Mindblowing multicultular City.
Mindblowing multicultular City. Ideal for a short 2-3 days city break with many attractions and amazing sites. Easy to commute in the city and to / from the airport. Great for foodies with wide choice of asian cuisines in cafes, restaurants. Our favourite was street food as there is a large number of food markets with great prices, they also give you an easy way to try some of the local and authentic dishes.
Very safe city for travellers of all kinds. People of Singapore are generally very friendly, offering help on the street when we got a bit lost.
Drawbacks? Singapore is insanely expensive. Get ready to spend lot of bucks on accommodation, drinks, even a bottle of water is above the average European prices. Some attractions are also not cheap however some key ones eg. Marina Gardens are free. For outdoor attractions we would recommend to see them late afternoon / evenings when the heat is a bit off and they look more spectacular during the night with all lights on!

Outstanding city, high tech and incredibly clean.
Outstanding city, high tech and incredibly clean. The MRT and bus services are second to none. The Hawker centres were very clean and offered plenty of options for food. There was plenty to see and do as a visitor and one should stay a minimum of 7 days if coming for the first time. Changi airport (and the Jewel) has enough to keep you occupied for the full day.
I think the value for money is relative, hotels in Singapore are generally a lot more expensive than the hotels in Malaysia so comparatively your money gets you less in Singapore. That said, given that it is a budget hotel the location is excellent as there is a lot of local cheap food in the area and with a lot of choices. Our room wasn’t perfectly clean and the bathroom was a little smelly, but given that it was budget, it was still good enough. The beds were comfy and the air con was in good condition so we slept very well.
The loft and premier rooms were beautifully designed and decorated with a lot of thought. The hotel is a short walking distance to Jalan Besar and Rochar MRT stations. Rizwana was exceptional and a true credit to Wanderlust. She assisted us with our rooms, upgraded my daughter’s room, gave us a lot of necessary information along with the nearest clinic for ART (antigen rapid test). The service I’d received was far better than any luxury hotels I’d stayed in. This will be my go to hotel whenever I’m in Singapore.
We booked ourselves one night in Singapore to travel on afterwards. The hotel was perfectly adequate for that. It was clean, the location is good and the staff is friendly. The bathroom was very clean and it was great to have shampoo, soap and shower gel. We appreciated that very much. The beds are also very comfortable, so you slept well. The connection to trains is also very convenient. In general, we found it difficult to find hotels in Singapore for good value for money, as everything is quite high-priced.
We have stayed at so many hotels in Singapore. Royal Plaza on Scotts was by far the VERY BEST. The reception staff were very courteous and check in was fast. The room was large and very clean. The king size bed was wonderful. The toilet had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast had a lot of choices and the staff were very helpful. The location of the hotel was superb. Right in the heart of the shopping and also great places to eat. We truly enjoyed our stay at Royal Plaza on Scotts.
The property is located near all the malls and mrt in Orchard Road. It's not on the main roas but just a short walk from the nearest bus and mrt stop. The room was spacious, clean, and complete with toiletries and amenities. The bathroom is also big and equipped with a bidet that most hotels in singapore don't have! All the staff were polite and helpful as well. I did not get to see the pool and the gym due to time constraints but i'll definitely stay here again when I'm in singapore
To be fair: to Singapore standards this hotel is probably OK-ish. Having said that, there are other large, expensive cities in the world.... While they are wonderful top end of the range hotels in SGP, its seems that medium market level hotels are really difficult to find. Clover is probably not ranking too bad compared to the peer group. In order to enjoy, you must be a huge fand of damp / poorly aired rooms and tiny rooms.
- extremely clean which is very important to me
- literally one minute to the Jalan Besar subway station (Downtown line)
- very close to two hawker markets
- quiet
- comfortable bed and pillows
- great shower and very nice toiletries
- free washing machine and dryer
- very good value for money compared to other hotels in Singapore
- close to specialty coffee cafe
Very clean & spacious room. Location of the hotel is the best amongst all hotels I have stayed in Singapore over the last 39 yrs. A small.Mall in front of the hotel which has 3 VG resturants especially the Chinese Food restaurant. Also MRT station is across the street. Will stay here again on my next possible visit.
Good location, and decent price (for Singapore)for a clean room with all facilities needed, including an ironing board which usually has to be ordered from housekeeping in most hotels in this price range.
A special thank you to the female receptionist who was extremely helpful and professional.
The room is quite small but comfortable. The hotel is located next to a bus station and MRT station, which is convenient. It’s within a walking distance to Clarke Quay, Bugis, and Downtown, which are full of shops and offices.
The room is clean, and we are happy with bathroom kits provided by the hotel. Yet, the room is very small vs the price if we compare to other countries. But, we all know the space is very expensive in Singapore.
The location is at the MRT station and the access of the MRT is just next to the hotel doors.
The room is quite large with the view of Singapore city, and I love the bathroom, it's huge with bathtub.
Price is relatively cheaper than typical hotels in Singapore, location is good near Katong area where you can find a lot of good foods, the staffs have been quite kind and helpful too.
breakfast was very average. Expensive and not greta - as with most hotels in Singapore it is very asian based and the western choices not very plentiful. Coffee was excellent.
