Ideal location - walking distance to the beach and is located within the old town. The night life is great, but if you don't like noise and turn in early, I wouldn't recommend it.

A very well maintained seaside town, even in the suburbs.
A very well maintained seaside town, even in the suburbs. It is obvious that the citizens are satisfied with the municipal government and the parks are full of old people and parents with small children. In summary- LIVING CITY.
But...
Apart from duners and pizzas, there is nothing else to eat on the street. It takes a visit to restaurants, which are always overpriced, in the end.

A port city with a long history; visit the archaeological museum for interesting exhibits and maps. The central old town varies greatly in condition; some of the older buildings are being well maintained, others are gently crumbling. The architecture is an interesting mix of Art Nouveau and Transylvanian, with echoes of the Ottoman presence there.
Many lively cafes and restaurants on Piata Ovidiu. Good fish restaurants down by the leisure port. We liked Camarote for service and value.

Constanţa looks like a city which will be amazing after 2025. Summer of 2023 is not the right time to visit, as the whole city is torn up with buildings and roads being updated at scale.
Great restaurants, and atmosphere. Locals are very friendly and helpful towards tourists. FInding people who speak English is fairly easy in the tourist area, but venture outside of it, and you better be armed with google translate.
Prices are all over the place, you can pay between 5 and 50 for the same thing, so it's really hard to keep track of money. Can pay with card almost everywhere.

It's a small quiet town with nice views.
It's a small quiet town with nice views. It's easy to move around. The authorities take care of streets look neater and newer. However, the beach I visited could have been cleaner. I am not sure of the name of the beach, but it's quiet popular and to reach it you have to go downstairs for a few min.
This town is more suitable for a quiet rest with a family or your spouse. If you are looking for parties or active night life, I believe that Constanţa will not suit you.

Constanta is well worth visiting.
Constanta is well worth visiting. Only about two hours by train from Bucharest, the sea air makes all the difference. The old town is the place to go for restaurants, museums, and for strolls by the sea front. The rest of Constanta is less interesting, though there is a nice park with a lake, an amusement park and a couple of malls in the modern centre. For beaches it is best to head out of town to Costinesti or Vama Veche. The city beaches are nice for a walk out of season, but in the summer they are crowded and dirty.

Constanţa is full of interesting, Roman artifacts and sites,...
Constanţa is full of interesting, Roman artifacts and sites, plus has excellent museums. The local restaurants are varied and good quality, too. The downtown is walkable, with a large square where cars are not allowed. The corniche along the Black Sea is well developed, also. We loved the Byblos (Lebanese) restaurant and a little deli with prepared food behind glass, where we ate on the downtown square.
Helpful staff. Quite a big room (junior suite). There is a direct bus line between the main train station and Mamaia with a stop near the hotel. This bus is also helpful for going to the city center (alternatively, it's around 30 minutes walking). There is a decent restaurant nearby. The breakfast was included in price (yoghurt, bread, cheese, ham, apple, pastry) but it was the same set every morning, with no opportunity to choose anything besides coffee or tea.
Exceptionally clean place. Rare in Romania (sorry).
Rooms are not so big, but everything available (hair dryer, soap like in Hotels). In the room one double bed and single bed, which is really amazing option if you are traveling with family. Including shared kitchen (fully equipped and super clean), washing machine, iron with board, sewing kit, first aid kit etc.
Price is also good. I can absolutely recommend that place.
Very friendly host and personnel.
Very cozy location! The patio overlooking the garden was a great place to eat breakfast or just relax thanks to the shade provided by grape leaves. The beach nearby is not as crowded as the ones closer to Constanta old town or Mamaia.
Daciana is a very kind host, she regularly checked in to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. She also responded immediately to our requests. It's clear that she truly cares about her guests :)
If you wish to have a cheap place next to the most crowded and expensive beaches in Mamaia, this is the place! If you don't want to spend hundreds of dollars/ Euro's in just sleeping, that's the place. It is located in what seems an isolated portion of land, but as soon as you get there, there is a super mega mall, including Carrefour, at just 10 steps along. Also, you can reach Aqua magic or the Mamaia beaches in just 15-20 minutes by bus
The host was super friendly and accommodating given the language barrier (you can text in English but he only speaks Romanian in person), location is 15 min from the beach and 15 min from the city center and near a boulevard; two cats and small dog were nice as well. Room is nice and had wonderful toiletries (make up remover, hair conditioner and hair mask all included) and the bed had plenty soft pillows.
It is one of the best hotels to stay at when visiting the romanian sea side. The view from the rooms facing the sea side is excellent, the personnel is professional and helpful, all is very clean and breakfast includes a wide range of food choices. Close to the main attractions, restaurants and the beach is right in front of the hotel.
Hotel is located near the main Port of Constanta, so conveninet for work in the port. Was alloted a large what they call matrimonial room, a self contained studio with two rooms, a living room with a kitchennet and a bed room, all well funished and with large televisions displays in both rooms all for Euro 48.00 per day.
This hotel is the place to stay in Constanta, Romania. Friendly staff who were helpful and cherful with every interaction. Free breakfast is great and they will serve it in the room if you need it outside of scheduled hours. Will be my go to place in Constanta.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff were amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting downtown Constanta. Walking distance to Neversea Beach and to the old town.
Perfect location, great hotel, everything new and good quality, nice design, personnel very helpful and kind. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed our stay and recommend Casa Hrisicos, for sure it will meet your expectations.
Central hotel close to the sea, excellent breakfast with croissants, fried mushrooms, fruits, etc. Stylish interiors and the most remarkable: a sauna! You order it to be heated and half an hour later you can enjoy it!
This boutique hotel is one of the best places to stay in Constanta. You can’t beat the location and beauty of the rooms. The staff was extremely helpful! I will definitely stay here again!
The hotel is right in the heart of Constanta in a walking distance from main attactions of the city. The owner was very kind and helpfull and the property is very well maintained.
Quietanza place and good staff.
Ela, the receptionist, was the best and kind person I met in Romania... and her Cappuccino is very good. And if Italian said that is true
