Very clean city, polite drivers, calm and warm people, great prices for touristic objectives and souvenirs.
Breb, Săpânța, Sighetul Marmației, Creasta Cocosului were some of the visited locations and they did not disappoint at all, worth a second and third and forth trip :)
I ate in Baia Mare at La Pălincie and at Millennium La Tour, food extremely good, very fast serving, very nice waiters and experience.
It's easy to get around Baia Mare, it's not a very big city, Waze always helps :)
The Mocănița trip was nice also, but too long and very bumpy on the way back. 2 hours one way, 1.5 hours break, then 2 more hours back, traveling with 10-13 km/h. This I would not do again, but I do not regret the experience, it's worth going once!

We ate at Cinquecento restaurant near Regina Maria Park. Exceptional host and lovely neighbourhood. The city has it's beauty spots, easy to drive around but it is getting crammed with cars. People usually are friendly.

The city has a very nice museum of mineralogy (other museums too), a nice view towards the neighboring mountains and is in close proximity to other mountain resorts (Suior, Mogosa, Izvoarele). You can also do trekking towards Ignis peak and Cock's Comb (Creasta Cocosului).

Baia Mare is surrounded by amazing nature, ski slope and hikes opportunities. There are several restaurants that serve delicious meals (we checked just Barbarossa and Dolce Vita). The city has some history pages, cultural events and nice places to go out by night.

After the Satu Mare, the Baia Mare was a pleasant surprise.
After the Satu Mare, the Baia Mare was a pleasant surprise. Very nice town with beautiful museums, excellent modern gallery, small planetarium, a tranquil city park with enormous trees... Local product and food are good and really chip. Baia Mare area also offers a lot: a bit of history and tradition, excellent traditional food even for vegetarians (boletus mushroom f.e.), hikes, unusual rok and mountain formations... a We found magic trout farm with a restaurant in Mara village- Pastrvaria Alex - must visit if you are in the area! We loved our short stay there, it was an absolute positive surprise, we plan to return.
Staff is the most important resource of any hotel, because it is with the help of specific people that Gran Gala provides hotel services and organizes short stays. I want to note that all the staff in this hotel is very friendly and polite, so an atmosphere of good rest and good mood is created. Since most people want to live on a budget when traveling, the Gran Gala value for money is one of the most important factors. And here is the most delicious pizza. Recommend friends!
Loved the rustic design of this place, the quiet area, the beautiful green garden view from my window, the fresh air, the cozy room. I booked a single but received a more spacious twin room, and enjoyed my stay there.
The hotel also has a restaurant and I took advantage of that one evening when I was too tired to go out for dinner.
I recommend this stay to people who want a peaceful, budget friendly option away from the clamour of the city.
Accommodation was very clean, the host very friendly and helpful. There are 2 bathrooms which is very helpful. The main bathroom has a beautiful big shower. The host made sure that everything is available in the house.
The location is close to the city centre and has free private parking available.
The apartment's design is very nice, tasteful, and has very nice touches.
I definitely recommend this place for your stay in Baia Mare.
take notice. the "hotel" is an old cinema. you climb a flight of stairs in order to get to the floor where (i think were some technical rooms or changing rooms) the rooms are. my room was small, mostly clean (except the top of the wardrobe (there was a tv placed there and i used the USB ports to charge my phone and my camera(s) so i noticed a lot of dust. the bath was clean, the sheets were fresh, the towels were fresh.
The host was very friendly and communicative. She helped us with everything we need and request.
The apartment is perfectly clean and designed with a lot of good taste. The host was paying attention to every small detail.
The location is the best one in Baia Mare: 5 minutes walk to the city old square center and near the best two parks in the town,
wonderful place to stay in this awesome city!
the location could not be any better … miles of parks beside the hotel, and yet also very close to all historic sites etc
the hosts are great, and the food in the restaurant is top notch
the accommodations are modern, and clean. excellent bed, and quiet for a good sleep.
Highly recommend
Great hotel in central Baia Mare. Easy walking distance to shops and centre of the town. Staff were friendly, rooms nice and comfortable with fridge and nice bathroom. Hotel was nice and warm , comfortable and was great for our needs. Breakfast was small but enough to provide a great start to day with hot and cold selection.
The Creative Apartment is a gem in Baía Mare. Conveniently located near the train station and the bus terminal, it’s a good spot in town. the apartment is ample spacious, clean, and everything you need is available. I appreciate the easy, seamless check-in and the host is available for questions.
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a smooth check-in process. The room was spacious and clean. Additionally, the on-site dining options were impressive, offering delicious meals. Overall, it was a delightful stay, and I highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is in center of old town, there is a payed parking on the left side of the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I recomend to eat at the hotel restaurant, the food is very teasty and good.
Modern, clean, comfortable, lovely place to stay. Easy parking and CODE entrance to the building and Aptment. You have all you need for a pleasant stay in Baia Mare, we will be back.

Room is perfect with great bed and real climatisation.
Breakfest buffet and cooking is perfect.
Best hotel i was in Romania.
The room was spacious, clean and full of light. The stuff was very friendly, the breakfast had a lot of options. All in all, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Baia Mare.
Great place to spend the night, comfortable conditions. Good parking space. Delicious breakfast. If we are here again, we will definitely choose this hotel.
