This is a place to relax and connect with and enjoy nature and the good, simple life. Please choose other places for student (or other) parties and/or stag nights. It is a secluded haven for you to restore yourself and connect with the wonderful surrounding nature. There is little phone coverage and you will enjoy a beautiful swimming pool that is ecologically maintained, with less chlorine than tap water. The Quinta do Fundo de Vila farm is in the family since 1744, even though there are records of the existence here of a Roman villa, from which there are no visible remnants. It has 3 houses for rental and a covered swimming pool, an olive oil press and a still-working wine press, a cellar, a games room with table tennis, garden and a 3 acres piece of farmland. The covered pool is always a highlight, even if the farm and the vicinity are great as well. It is ideal for some rest and quality time away from it all. The pool has been fully renovated in 2023. Here you can source yourself, away from the confusion, noise and pollution of the big city. We are mostly a TV free zone, yet can provide one for the house by the pool. We welcome Digital Nomads and have invested in a Starlink internet connection, with ultra fast satellite internet now available for our guests.
Have lived in 9 countries, within 4 continents, learned 10 languages, of which I speak 6 fluently, and worked in 8 different fields of activity, having finished 3 academic degrees, the last one of which was the One Planet MBA, in Exeter, UK, an executive degree in sustainability and innovation.
The neighbourhood here is peaceful and welcoming. This is rural Portugal, people are simple and friendly, always willing to give a hand and help if and when needed. There is some work taking place in the lands nearby regularly, with some machines, yet nothing too heavy. In the summer months there are some local festivities, and so one can hear the music from the villages across the valley at night. We have cats that roam around the property, two of them which we feed, and at night you can hear some dogs barking away at each other.
