The property was so gorgeous, our group wished we had stayed longer! The views were amazing, pool was to die for, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We loved the hike on property, and taking in the gallery.

It has a special charm. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere, up a mountain in a dense forest. The room is a little above basic but has a relaxing impact on a traveler. Even during a rainy day, the property is enchanting. There is a nice bathroom, small kitchenette, living room with a step-up sleeping area with angelwings on the wall. A nice artistic touch.

The house the 6 of us stayed in, is part of a compound in an artist colony. Each room had its own bathroom. The grounds have at least 40 to 50 outdoor and indoor sculptures, which made walking through the property quite special, with a lot of: “oh wow, did you see this one? The pool area offered a resort-like experience too. The staff and owners were super friendly and welcoming. The breakfast (which you need to order a day ahead, at a minimum), was great. They basically loaded the fridge with an assortment of goodies, and have bread and pastries the morning of. Roberta who welcomed us, offered information on the area, and was super friendly. The owners printed a map to help us find our way for a great 1 hour walk right off the property. It’s a great place as a base to explore Castelo de Vide, Marvão, and the Roman ruins of Ammaia (which has a great little museum). We had reservations at railbikemarvao.com but it rained and we had to cancel.

We stayed in the Loft which was spacious and had a great view down the valley. The pool area and pool were a great place to cool down after a hot day of sightseeing and travel .

This Studio was spotless and beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette was enough to get you going. The staff was friendly, the grounds beautiful. A place to relax, put your feet up and Recharge. Marvão is nearby with sites and restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Super helpful and friendly staff, very clean room. We had a very spacious veranda with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Here we could observe the stars in the night sky and enjoy the local wine. Definitely, we come back again if we have a chance.

This place absolutely blew us away, our favorite place in Portugal by far. The property was extremely clean, the hosts were friendly, there was a small cat and dog in the property as well. The wifi was excellent and the hot water lasted (for a long time!). The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved the space. The breakfast we requested the next morning exceeded our expectations for quality and quantity and diversity of food. The pool also offers a beautiful view.

We had booked only one night but wished we could stay longer in such a beautiful, tranquil spot. The view is amazing and the rooms are very well done. We will stay again if we come back to Portugal.

The location is beautiful, you are surrounded by beautiful sculptures and poems. At night it's dark, you can see the stars and listen to the owls and crickets. The bed was comfortable. Our dog Bailey made a great new friend, the owners dog. He even joined us for a lovely hike away from the property.
