The villa is stunning and like an oasis of luxury in the suburbs of Alvor. It has loads of room and every facility you could wish for. Such a wonderful space to spend quality time with loved ones. We were not prepared for the incredible character of the villa, it’s interiors and the interior decoration. If you love mid-century vintage design, you will be in heaven! The host is super friendly, kind and helpful. We had such a fantastic stay we’re already talking about when we can return.

Quinta "A Pausa" pairs the privacy of home with impressive resort-style amenities – some of the finest in the Alvor area. It’s located near the historical town of Alvor, an area steeped in culture and only a few minutes from the Beach. Outdoors, you can cool off in the large pool or lie on the deck and enjoy the sun, surrounded by landscaped gardens. Or play a game of tennis on the private tennis court or table tennis on the terrace. The expansive terrace features a charcoal barbecue and plenty of seating room. The main living area features a perfect blend of minimalistic design and architecture while still offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The lounge boasts large white plush couches, which offer a welcome respite. For a dinner in, the villa boasts spacious indoor and outdoor dining areas, capable of seating a crowd. The fully equipped kitchen is centrally situated. Six of the villa’s 7 bedrooms feature two single beds, unsuited bathrooms with tubs and showers, and air conditioning—though in the master bedroom you’ll find a king-sized bed. The villa can comfortably accommodate up to 14 adults, with additional children’s beds available at an additional rate.
Hi! If you’re booking a stay in Pausa you’ll probably meet myself or Rhina, my beautiful Danish girlfriend. Right now we’re working on managing this place, my family’s old summerhouse, and doing our best to turn it into a wonderful, magical hotel. I love to play music, read books, watch movies, play games, drink coffee, paint, a little bit of this and that. It has happened quite often now that our guests have invited us for a glass of wine, and that’s honestly the best part about all of this - the sharing of cultures, stories, energies...! We look forward to meeting you and your family and friends!
The villa is only a five-minute drive from the town center of Alvor, where you can enjoy shopping, great food and fantastic evening entertainment. Alvor retains much of the charm of an old picturesque fishing village, with streets of white houses and colorful boats which, after a day at sea, gather near the old fish market. Just a few minutes more will take you to Portimão, known for its stunning cliffs, grottos, and crystal clear water. First the blue sea and its gently lapping waves. Then fine, golden sands framed by cliffs and rocks. The cosmopolitan atmosphere of an international tourism destination. This is the Algarve of beach holidays in the sun. Portimão and its municipality have much more to offer though: a rich heritage of historical monuments; the eternal natural beauty of the Ria de Alvor; the charm of cultivated fields, of slopes covered with pine trees and wild flowers as you climb up into the hills of the “serra”, your days in the Algarve thus gaining a whole new dimension. From golf to watersports, you will find plenty of activities near this villa in Portugal.
