The best way to describe Maria's Apartment is telling the visitor that he will feel at home. Why? Because it was the home of your host for 18 years, and the tranquility, comfort and simplicity in a single space can now be yours for a city break! Maria's Apartment has got 2 bedrooms + 1 interior room, 1 bathroom, 1 servicing toilet and a fully equipped kitchen (with microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, juicer, blender, cutlery, pans and dishes), 1 utility room, two balconies and a magnificent terrace with about 30 m2, divided into two equal parts (one indoor and one outdoor). Covering part contains a dining table, banks, refrigerator and a laundry area with washing machine and a small hand washing tank. It is endowed with TV both in the living room and main bedrooms, electric heating, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, hairdryer, iron and ironing board and some games for visitors’ entertainment. Ideal for families with children, friends or even business.
My name is Fernando Heitor. I was born in Oporto and I have always lived in this beautiful city. In my free time I like reading and my favourite writer is José Saramago. I also like going to the cinema and to the theatre, listening to music and watching sport games but most of all, I enjoy travelling. If you are also fond of travelling, Oporto is a delightful destination with its colourful buildings lining the Douro River and in “Maria’s Apartment” located in a nice and quiet area of the city, you will find a comfortable home. I’m waiting for you.... to make yourself at home!
Maria's is located in Antas - one of the noblest, quiet and friendly residential areas of the city. It takes 8 minutes by bus, 20 minutes walk (about 2 km) to reach the city center and old town. The apartment is part of a family block building where the visitor will find the rest he needs to revitalize his body after a day discovering the city. A few meters way there are some shops (a small café, an hairdresser and a fruit shop). The closest bus stop is just 150 meters distance. Around it, main avenues like “Avenida Fernando Magalhães and “Praça Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro” have plenty of cafes, restaurants, banks and pharmacies, a supermarket "Pingo Doce" and the PUB "Barrel - a mix of bar and restaurant" (an interesting afterhours) plus a taxi station. 200 meters from the apartment the “ São Roque Park” (east of the city park) and the tennis courts (at the “Monte Aventino” complex) are ideal places for jogging or for a morning workout. Further on, at 350 meters distance there is a Church (“Igreja das Antas”), and a Mc Donald’s. The entrance to the main road that circles Porto city (A23) stands at 1 km distance, from which car travellers can easily reach sever destinations.
