We had a wonderful family reunion, and the villa allowed us to build life time memories of sharing meals and laughter on the two terraces, spend quality time together surrounded by flowers, trees and so many types of birds. A paradise in the sunny and beautiful Algarve.

The little town of Porches itself is of no interest whatsoever. Supermarkets and restaurants are all located in or near the village resorts in the neighborhood. And there are nice harbor towns in the vicinity with good sea food restaurants. From the neighborhood of Porches many interesting trips can be made by car or by boat.H. House was excellent, very well equipped with everything provided and more extras. Air conditioning was great, pool and grounds were perfect.Had a barbecue every night on upper terrace with stunning views. Location was lovely close to beaches and short walk to supermarket and lovely town. Host was very welcoming and went out of her way to help us. Will definitely return and didn't want to go back home, could have lived there forever.

Whole Algarve is simply wonderful.

After driving through the area quite a bit I felt that I just liked the environment of Porches a bit better. It’s pretty central in the Algarve, which allows for trips to Faro or the west coast, or anything in between.

The location for us was perfect as it wasn’t right in the middle of a highly touristy beach town but the closest beaches were easily walkable and beautiful. The breakfasts were awesome and we did our best not to miss the tea and cake served in the late afternoon ! And the wine bar was excellent- just for guests so it was really intimate and a great way to meet other guests. The owners were also very nice and when I asked for a high chair on the first day it was brought to us soon after. The apartment has a lovely outside terrace to sit and enjoy a meal or a drink in the evening. It is also close to a few nice restaurants and a supermarket and is about 15 minutes from the beach.
