Only 2 hrs drive from Berlin this old City is worth the side trip. Flixbus offers several shuttle rides a day from Berlin so easy to get to or fly to Szczecin Goleniow airport. Very green, walkable city with nice historical sites, including Pomeranian Castle by the river. City Center radiates out over several directions each offering easy walks, coffee shops with yummy deserts along the way. Plenty of pubs and restaurants with creative and fresh tasting meals. Very safe to walk around, even for a single female in the evening. Great public transportation or easy to get affordable taxi, Bolt or Uber.

Beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful place. We enjoyed our stay. There is a shuttle for airport called follow me which you book online which the host gave us the information and was exceptionally helpful about everything. If you end up getting a cab it should be around 200 pln. But the transfer is around 12 gbp for 2 and very efficient

I return to Szczecin time to time so I see how much the city develops. Besides the traditional restaurants and little craft shops ( there is even a hat maker!) I found many new hipster places. I was really glade to find a coffee place selling natural wine.
Nice town with everything you need for a cozy shorter holiday.

Plenty of transport options and a large selection of restaurants and cafes. The cathedral is beautiful and there is a lot of interesting local architecture.
I recommend Wyszak, a brewery/restaurant in the basement of the old town hall. Good beer, food and service.

I had the privilege of visiting Szczecin, a city that left a profound mark on my travel experience. The city is an absolute gem, filled with a rich history, captivating museums, and unbelievable historical monuments that narrate stories of centuries gone by.
First and foremost, the Haken Terrasse is a sight to behold. The sprawling views of the river and city beyond are breathtaking, and you can easily lose yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. Strolling along this riverside promenade was an unforgettable experience.
The St. James Cathedral (Katedra św. Jakuba) is an architectural masterpiece, and I was awestruck by its grandeur. The interior is equally impressive, and I highly recommend taking some time to appreciate the artistry within.
As I explored the city, the Port and Royal Gates (Bramy Portowa i Królewska) fascinated me with their historical significance. These gates, which once protected the city, now stand as symbols of Szczecin's resilience and history.
The Castle of the Pomeranian Dukes (Zamek Książąt Pomorskich) is another must-visit. The legacy of the Gryfici dynasty is beautifully preserved here, and wandering through its halls, I felt like I had traveled back in time.
Szczecin truly is a city that immerses you in history and culture. The friendly locals add warmth to the city's charm, making it an inviting destination for travelers of all interests. I wholeheartedly recommend Szczecin to anyone seeking a unique and enriching travel experience.
Overall, my stay in Szczecin was unforgettable, and I can't wait to return to explore more of this amazing city.

A relatively flat city thus easy to walk around.
A relatively flat city thus easy to walk around.
More to see there than you would think.
Possibly fewer tourists than most polish cities.
Plenty of Bars Restuarants in the centre.
Easy travel by train to other nearby towns including the coast.
Friendly and helpful lady that welcomed me. After sorted out if the hotel and parking was prepaid (it was) I got a parking lot in the inner courtyard. The building has an elevator. The room very small, but sufficient for me. Room and bathroom clean. The English knowledge was not so good, but the lady had someone to call to, but most things worked out anyway. Walking distance to central parts of the city, where there are many restaurants. Tea and coffee available to prepare (just outside the room).
Super central comfortable apartment, with complete kitchen and fast wifi. Lots of restaurants, sights, and shopping possibilities nearby. Children crib was provided. Apartment is so central that we had in Szczecin the only day without car during our 2.5 weeks Germany & Poland trip. One remark: Despite sound proofing windows, on the street side you hear constantly some traffic noise. For sensitive ears, better request an apartment on the backyard side.
Location by the highway was really great next to a park, close to the suburbs, with good connection to city. The hotel has a very big parking with big spaces. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. We arrived a little early, still our room was already available.
I mainly came for the park run in Szczecin, so the location was soooo good! But it is a fair bit away from the centre (but easy to get there by public transport/bike).
Staff were lovely, and they kindly locked my bike away in a separate room as I had no lock.
The apartment looks like new. Very clean. Strong wifi. Decent and quiet neighbourhood. Many parking spots. Local shop just around the corner. Shopping park Rondo Hakena is walking distance from the apartment. So is the bus stop to the city center of Szczecin.
Modern, clean and comfortable apartment in the middle of the old city.
Best restaurants nearby.
Air conditioning and self check-in.
I suggest to park for free on the other side of the river, just 5 minutes walking.
The location of the hotel in a great place. Close to restaurants, shops, supermarket. The apartment with a balcony is very nice and clean. Underground parking on site. Breakfast very good. Everything ok. I recommend.
Beautiful hotel in the middle of a park with a swimming pool in the basement. A few steps to the centre. Rich breakfast and especially complete silence at night. Definitely the best hotel we have stayed in Stetin.
Convenient location of the hotel, own paid parking. Friendly staff who helped with all questions and a great room. Fitness room and sauna in the hotel is a big plus, we liked it! Delicious food in the restaurant.
