A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War II. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.
Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.
Other cultural features are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.
Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centers than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.
Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.
Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe. There were a lot of very good museums, we visited The Polin Museum, The Cold War Museum & The Warsaw Uprising Museum, all excellent.
We also enjoyed the parks where the trees were just starting to blossom. There is a lack of atmosphere due to the city having been rebuilt & restored but you can understand why.
We found good reasonable restaurants & tried as many different Polish dishes as we could. Not enough fruit & vegetables on menus though.
The hotel was a bit of a shock. very stark & utilitarian, like Lego blocks fitted together, I hadn't appreciated that it was more budget than others I've stayed in. It felt like a hostel. Having said that breakfast was perfectly adequate & plenty of it.
We also went to a Chopin concert which was wonderful.
Overall a great trip.

Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do.
Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do. This is but one of many trips we've taken to Warsaw and will not be our last. Take the time to do your research and you can find amazing things that the typical tourist doesn't get to experience. Also make sure to double check your visit against the City's schedule of events so that you can take part in something unique or plan your trip to avoid traffic and large crowds, whatever your cup of tea is.

I love Warsaw, been many times since 1991 so seen a lot of changes. Great nightlife, culture, shopping, and wide streets. Street cafes and restaurants to watch the world go by. One of the best thing about Warsaw is the transport system, always on time, regular services and very reasonably priced. We dispensed with a car quite a few years ago and haven't found anywhere that that we can't get to on bus, tram, metro or train and no need to worry about finding somewhere to park or impatient drivers 😉. Loved it so much that we bought an apartment on NowySwiat in 2004, sadly sold it now and look forward to exploring more of Poland in the next few years.

Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries.
Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries. Impressive modern and old buildings in the centre. Lots of lovely parks. A reliable and cheap integrated transport service. Increasingly multi-cultural, with many foreign faces visiting and/or living in the capital. It is a bit of a lottery whether shopkeepers and railway ticket office staff are friendly or off-hand; but either way, it is manageable. Old town is great.

I loved walking around Old Town and New Town.
I loved walking around Old Town and New Town. The Polish people I've met have some kind of dry humor, but I loved it! They were very warm and friendly. I loved that it's not too busy, too. Just the right amount of travelers when I visited. I definitely loved the food too! I would recommend Warsaw especially for those who do not like a very busy town/city. Just walking around, and enjoying meeting new people, and trying out the best of their food!

Mecure hotel is the No1 in my heart from 8yeats ago when I first time lived in this hotel. So whenever I went to any other city in Poland, my first choice is mecure hotel. This hotel is located at center of warsaw, very convenient and outside looks grand. And equipment from hotel is completely satisfied by the need of clients. Only the internet connection is not good. And the room is bit cold because the client can not change the temperature of air conditioner.
Perfect location, really big room (our was 54 m), comfortable bed, polite and nice staff. For the price that we have paid for our stay (300 Eur for 4 nights, for 2 people without breakfast), this is amazing deal! Everything is close to the hotel (supermarket, city center, Old Town), the public transport is next to the hotel too. There is nothing to complain about. I will stay in this place in Warsaw next time too.
Great location, incredibly comfortable bed, friendly staff, and beautiful property. The room has remote controlled blackout shades and the bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get out of it in the morning! It is clearly very new and well taken care of. We did not eat at the hotel at all but the restaurant looked delicious. A short 10-15 minute walk will get you to the Old Town Center of Warsaw.
The hotel room was clean and cozy. The bed was comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast at the hotel was standard, similar to other hotels. The food was tasty.
Parking for the car is available in the hotel underground parking lot for an additional fee.
Getting to the Old Town of Warsaw is convenient by tram. the tram stop is located near the hotel.
I recommend this hotel.
This is a very clean and modern hotel. The buffet breakfast was exceptional. Probably one of the best that we had experienced on trips. The location was excellent. Ir was a short walk to main area and Old Town of Warsaw. Also convenient to transportation to museums and parks outside surrounding area. Staff were helpful as to what trams to use.
When you go to Warsaw, Poland this is the place you got to live at it's cheap and close to the airport, the staff is friendly and helpful they agreed to keep my bags with them for 14 days as I was leaving Warsaw for two weeks. The rooms are spacious and comfortably clean. Two showers and one toilet. Thanks guys had a great time
1) The location is the best for me. The middle of Poland capital. Many restaurants & shops, local "Big Ben", seafront and a lot of parks and greenery!
2) Safetyness. The code sistem makes me feel like at home.
3) Cleanliness.
4) The price of couse is very cheap for that kind of place.
5) Good stuff and kind guests.
Very friendly staff. Good communication and they understand and speak English properly unlike in other places in Poland. Perfect location to visit Old Town in Warsaw. Safe place. Spa facilities included in our package. Value for money. Thrilled to meet the Mauritian guy Bono who has been very helpful and welcoming.
Perfect location in the center of Warsaw, Bus 175 or train S2 from and to the airport, old town is in walking distance.
House is cozy with a perfect view. Easy to check in and check out, the key is in 9th floor not ground floor.
Carrefour just near, you can buy everything, salad, alcohol, fruits, foods there.
The hotel is in a very good location with 2 malls next to the hotel. The room was very nice and it was cleaned every day. The breakfast is excellent. This was the second time that we stayed in this hotel and we will definately stay there again next time we will be in Poland.
The apartment itself is quite charming right in the middle of old town and for the owner Julia she has been so helpful to us right from the first day even before our first day in Poland :) we’ll definitely coming back to this place for our next visit in Warsaw.
Close to the airport and the breakfast is the most varied we’ve had in Poland. Parking out the front or if you want to pay then there is in hotel parking. Restaurant in the hotel or there are a few others in walking distance from the hotel.
The location was perfect for going to a concert at Progresja
The room was very spacious, with comfortable beds and the best pillows I've had in any place in Poland
The bathroom was clean and functional, towels provided
Nice hotel close to the center of Warsaw and in walking distance from the old town.
The staff was very helpful.
Breakfast was ok and the beds were comfortable.
It's the best hotel in warsaw. near the old town, 15 min walk to the old town. you can easy to found everything near hotel. food shop, supermarket, .....
