Predictable, clean, comfortable, very good breakfast. Typical Ibis: meets all your needs. International. We had room overlooking the inner courtyard and it was very quiet. We were given the choice of this or a room overlooking the main road, with more to see, but noisier.

FAQs about hotels in Warsaw

Always on the Move

A city on the move, Warsaw is constantly changing in an effort to rebuild what was lost during World War Two. There’s no better example of this than the stunning Old Town Square, where pastel facades sit alongside dome-topped spires.

Starting here is the Royal Route which passes several historic buildings on its way out to Wilanów, where an ornate Royal Palace is set in a huge park that was the retreat of kings since the 17th century. Just as grandiose is the Palace of Culture and Science, Stalin’s gift to Warsaw that still manages to evoke feelings of hatred and love in equal measure. Go up to the terrace for panoramic city views.

Other cultural offerings are the Warsaw Uprising Museum, considered the best museum in Poland, and traditional bars that still serve down-to-earth food washed down with a shot of vodka - a throwback to the Communist era. Don’t expect to find a seat though – there aren’t any.

Warsaw also has a thriving club scene and more shopping centres than you could throw a stick at. Not that you’d want to, as you’ll be too busy picking up the bargains.

Just outside the city is Warsaw Airport, efficiently linked by public transport to the city’s hotels, guest houses and hostels, available on Booking.com.

Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe.

Warsaw is very clean & felt very safe. There were a lot of very good museums, we visited The Polin Museum, The Cold War Museum & The Warsaw Uprising Museum, all excellent. We also enjoyed the parks where the trees were just starting to blossom. There is a lack of atmosphere due to the city having been rebuilt & restored but you can understand why. We found good reasonable restaurants & tried as many different Polish dishes as we could. Not enough fruit & vegetables on menus though. The hotel was a bit of a shock. very stark & utilitarian, like Lego blocks fitted together, I hadn't appreciated that it was more budget than others I've stayed in. It felt like a hostel. Having said that breakfast was perfectly adequate & plenty of it. We also went to a Chopin concert which was wonderful. Overall a great trip.

Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do.

Warsaw has a never-ending offering of things to see and do. This is but one of many trips we've taken to Warsaw and will not be our last. Take the time to do your research and you can find amazing things that the typical tourist doesn't get to experience. Also make sure to double check your visit against the City's schedule of events so that you can take part in something unique or plan your trip to avoid traffic and large crowds, whatever your cup of tea is.

I love Warsaw, been many times since 1991 so seen a lot of changes. Great nightlife, culture, shopping, and wide streets. Street cafes and restaurants to watch the world go by. One of the best thing about Warsaw is the transport system, always on time, regular services and very reasonably priced. We dispensed with a car quite a few years ago and haven't found anywhere that that we can't get to on bus, tram, metro or train and no need to worry about finding somewhere to park or impatient drivers 😉. Loved it so much that we bought an apartment on NowySwiat in 2004, sadly sold it now and look forward to exploring more of Poland in the next few years.

Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries.

Warsaw impressed me - a great selection of eateries. Impressive modern and old buildings in the centre. Lots of lovely parks. A reliable and cheap integrated transport service. Increasingly multi-cultural, with many foreign faces visiting and/or living in the capital. It is a bit of a lottery whether shopkeepers and railway ticket office staff are friendly or off-hand; but either way, it is manageable. Old town is great.

I loved walking around Old Town and New Town.

I loved walking around Old Town and New Town. The Polish people I've met have some kind of dry humor, but I loved it! They were very warm and friendly. I loved that it's not too busy, too. Just the right amount of travelers when I visited. I definitely loved the food too! I would recommend Warsaw especially for those who do not like a very busy town/city. Just walking around, and enjoying meeting new people, and trying out the best of their food!

This was an old established hotel which has been completely renovated and modernised. It is in an excellent location in the absolute centre of Warsaw with unusually , parking at the door. My room was very bright , clean , modern and comfortable looking onto the main road. If you want complete silence then enquire about a room at the rear. The price was very good for a city centre hotel and breakfast had a big choice of including traditional meats and sausages.

We had an extra large room - was a great room, made our 2 wk stay very comfortable. The hotel also has a great breakfast buffet every morning as well as a great restaurant and bar. The location was perfect for us with easy access to the city parks, shopping streets, malls, and Old Town - most of which we walked to; but bus/metro/taxis/Uber are also easy to access. The hotel is situated in a perfect location - plac Zamkowy, Old town. Public transport is available, including from/to the airport. My room had the best view I've ever had in a city hotel! There is a reading nook which is perfect for enjoying the view and sipping tea. The atmosphere in the historic building is wonderful. The elevator is peculiar. It is definitely worth staying at this hotel if you love places with special atmosphere.

While I had only eaten breakfast, it was quite good and I looked forward to the mornings when I could leave my simple room and experience a little zest of Poland. Unlike other hotels/apartments where I stayed in Poland, here I found everything needed and felt very welcomed and cosy. I was sad that the other day they were all full (I hadn't made a reservation, I just called them and hoped for my luck) because this is my favourite place to stay in Warsaw. I would suggest GO apartments to my friends as the number one option. Thank you :-)))
