Holiday Inn Gdansk - City Centre, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Gdańsk

Holiday Inn Gdansk - City Center is set in the city center of Gdańsk on Spichrzów Island, 1476 ft from Long Market.

The options for breakfast were excellent. However, the hot food options were not kept very hot. By the time I got to my table and started eating, the food was already getting cold.

Smart Hotel, hotel in Gdańsk

Hotel Smart is located in Gdańsk, in the lively Wrzeszcz district. It is a modern property surrounded by historic buildings.

I traveled by myself and stayed in the standard room. It was nice room, there were plenty of mirrors, when you were getting ready, a comfortable bed, a TV, a desk and a chair, a kettle for tea and coffee. I also got 2 bottles of water, tea, and coffee on my arrival. Very quiet room, you couldn't hear sounds from the rooms next to you. At the side of the hotel was a massage salon, which was excellent for me. The hotel is in a great location. The bus stop is right next to it, so I could catch the direct bus 110 to the airport. Also, 2 malls are in our walking distance - Galeria Baltyscka and Galeria Meteopolia. The dental clinic I was going to (Nawrocki) was also at a walking distance.

FAQs about hotels in Gdańsk

Charming Architecture And a Breath of History

Called the Amber Capital of the World, Gdańsk is the major shipping seaport and the most beautiful city along the Polish Baltic coast. It has everything from fascinating history and great architecture to a friendly atmosphere!

Also known as Danzig due to its complex past with periods of Polish, German and self-rule, the city is part of the Tricity urban area together with the port city of Gdynia and the popular spa town Sopot. It’s also a birthplace of the world-famous Solidarity movement, which helped to bring down Communist rule in Poland, initiating the end of the Cold War era.

Its charming buildings were rebuilt in a historical style after the city's near-complete destruction during World War II. You can admire the colorful townhouses of the Old Town by boat on the Motlawa River or by strolling down the popular Long Street and Long Market.

While in Gdańsk, make sure you visit the 15th-century St. Mary’s Church, the largest brick church in Europe, and make a wish at the Neptune Fountain, the city’s patron. While in town, try the legendary local Goldwasser liqueur with 22 karat gold flakes!

Whether you reach Gdańsk by train or plane, Booking.com has a variety of accommodations near the Lech Walesa Airport, the picturesque Old Town or the general city center.

Perfect new destination for a three day city break.

Perfect new destination for a three day city break. Although at time of our visit there was a lot of construction work ongoing, this didn't stop us from seeing all the sights and attractions - and there are plenty of them. The World War II museum is especially worth a visit, as is the European Solidarity Centre, not to mention the beautiful buildings and views you will see simply strolling around the super clean streets. Plentiful bars and restaurants to eat and drink in, many with stunning views of the river, the Baltic sea and the city itself.

The Museum of the Second World War has superb exposition. Well prepared and thought out. Definitely recommend. Breathtaking. About 3 hours minimum. And for technical enthusiast, there is museum ship - retired freighter Sołdek, exposition of National Maritime Museum in Gdańsk. My recent visit to Gdańsk was an absolute delight!

My recent visit to Gdańsk was an absolute delight! This charming city captivated me from the moment I arrived. The historic Old Town is a treasure trove of architectural wonders, with its colorful facades and cobblestone streets evoking a sense of old-world charm. Exploring the city's rich history was a highlight of my trip. From the iconic Neptune's Fountain to the majestic St. Mary's Church, there's no shortage of impressive landmarks to discover. The museums offer fascinating insights into Gdańsk's past, particularly the Museum of the Second World War, which left a lasting impression on me. Gdańsk is also a paradise for food enthusiasts. The local cuisine is a delightful fusion of flavors, with hearty pierogi and fresh seafood being absolute must-tries. I found myself indulging in delectable meals at quaint cafes and restaurants dotted throughout the city. The vibrant atmosphere of Gdańsk is infectious, with lively street performers and bustling markets adding to the excitement. Whether strolling along the picturesque waterfront or browsing the charming artisan shops, there's always something new and exciting to discover. Overall, my experience in Gdańsk was nothing short of magical. It's a city that seamlessly blends history, culture, and culinary delights, making it a must-visit destination for travelers of all interests. I can't wait to return and explore even more of this enchanting city!

Despite not being an architect, the historic buildings took my breath away. The old town is generally very clean and maintained. to every place you can go by foot. If using a car, I recommend to learn upfront where the parking places are otherwise you get nerves:) Do not forget to visit Sopot and Gdynia as well. And when you have some more time, the Slowinski park narodowy with the sand dunes is a must-see.

Its right at the center of The Long Market. You can easily go back to the hotel when you got tired of going around. Eventhough it's at the center it's still very quiet. The location of this hostel is great! You are literally at the main gate of the old town. Staff are really nice and the rooms are quite clean and comfy. I liked that the rooms were not set up with cheap bunk beds but rather individual solid single beds. Airy large windows with lots of natural light. Well equipped spacious kitchen, luggage storage, free towel and bed linen, clean bathrooms. Easy access to everything you wanna see in Gdańsk just a few steps aways.

We had a great time here!! we booked the accomodation last-minute while most places were fully booked (on the same day) and did not really had expectations. The garden is VERY beautiful and the house is impeccably clean. There is a fully equipped kitchen to use. We really felt like home, would reccomend to anyone. It is also very easy to get to the old town, we mostly used Bolt since it is so cheap in Poland, but there are several direct trams taking 15 min

The location was great, really easy to find as you can't miss the restaurant. There is an intercom after the restaurant closes so you can access the reception at all times. It is all pedestrian around the front, so worth bearing in mind if you have luggage. The room on the top floor was really spacious, with comfy seating and good storage for a short trip. The place is great. Exceptional design, cleanliness and order. Excellent and abundant kitchen equipment. Fast internet. A few steps to the old town. It can be a bit noisy in the morning when the traffic starts on the street. Since the apartments are in the old town, you need to estimate the car parking costs. In our case, we rented a parking space under the house. About 20 Eur a night. I think this is the best choice

Excellent location right across the street from train station. There is a tunnel under the street from the station to basically the front door of the hotel. Restaurants walkable as well as the Solidarity Museum, Old Town and shipyards. Would stay there again. Breakfast was good but at 15 euros seemed a little expensive for Poland.
