The town itself is pretty and nice to walk in old town.
The town itself is pretty and nice to walk in old town. It has an olympic ice skating place. There is Bażantarnia Forest which is good for hiking. Also much close to gdansk and other historical castles. You can explore around baltic from this town.

Elblag (Elbling) as a town is outright dissapointing. Yes, there are some nice spots, but there are much nicer places to visit in Poland. The center (old town, nothing old though) is under construction at this moment. Lots of new housing. Nice attempt to build new houses in an old style. But the soul of the city is missing. A great place to stay if you are doing a canal boat trip. Parking in the hotel is £10 or there is street parking which must be paid daily at a machine. Dinner in the hotel was very good and beautifully presented and there was a 10% discount. My room was huge with a desk, sofa and coffee making facilities. In the flat, there is absolutely everything that you might need, the host thougt about all possible things for our comfort. The place is clean and the procedure of an electrical lock is fabulous, we don't even have to meet the host in order to take the keys. The place is on the 1st floor, there is an elevator.
