My booking. When I show them the booking confirmation. Not good enough for them. Had to hand over more money. When asked about rooms service not available .! Asked if they had a bar. Not available.!! How can this hotel be a 4*
If they do not offer these basic services??

The main points of Cebu (historical attractions, malls, temples etc) could all be seen in just one well-planned day. I would recommend taking 2 nights here, arriving in the afternoon and going out then utilising the one full day and leaving for your next place early in the morning (to beat traffic!)

Cebu City certainly has enough sights and distractions to offer for several days, although most people will use it only as a gateway to Cebu and the surrounding islands. Sinulog festival and the people's spirit were amazing.

Cebu has a lot of activities to offer.
Cebu has a lot of activities to offer. If you are a first-timer here and would want to experience swimming with the whale sharks, book your stay at the Oslob area so it is easier to travel in the morning. Stay for at least two nights before heading to another area/city.Don't forget to pass by the Carcar lechon public market on Diversion road, to taste the best lechon. You will have to taste this and be able to compare the taste of the lechon in the city. For a city tour, of course, visit the Magellan Cross and Basilica de Sto. Nino. Try eating at local food restaurants - Kusino Uno for the Best Pochero (aka Bulalo in Manila), Mattias BBQ, Sunburst Fried Chicken, Ngohiong, and Siomai sa Tisa.

Security staff are everywhere including at entrance and exit of shops, at car parks, in the street. Also local people actually walk in the streets, unlike other Asian countries where locals just drive motos. As a woman solo traveler I felt very safe at all times. The street traffic is less overwhelming than other Asian cities I've been to. There are pedestrian traffic lights Eehehhehhehe!!! But, watch it as when it's green for pedestrian, it's also green for vehicles coming from your right. The footpath are very wide and often covered by portico structure. The architecture unfortunately looks pretty bad. New and old building facades are wrecked and falling apart. Everybody speaks a great English which to me it's a great plus as I'm not English mother tongue but it's the only foreign language I know. I found people very friendly and helpful.
We stayed at One Central Hotel both upon our arrival and just before our departure on a recent three-week trip to the Central Visayas Islands of the Philippines. Although other travelers noted this was an "iffy" part of Cebu City, after becoming comfortable with traveling in the country, we realized the hotel is actually very centrally located and within walking distance of Carbon Market, which made for an amazing morning of browsing and photography. Great breakfast too!
We arrived of a late flight and when we got to to the hostel the gentleman on reception was very helpful and friendly . The room was beautiful and clean, very comfortable bed, good AC & WiFi and Netflix on the telly and a lovely hot shower which is rare in the Philippines. Breakfast included was great. Would highly recommend for a short stay in Cebu close to the airport & port so perfect for a stopover in Cebu city
The location was great in the middle of Cebu City. Easy to take a cab or Grab. Our water heater did not work for 1 night but that was promptly attended to. The room, bed and pillows were comforable for a good nights sleep. There was also a table wide enough to do work on a laptop. We were there for 4d3n for the Oslob whale shark watching and twin city tours.
Really good to stay everything's complete. Anyway thanks for using for us the utensils there.. hehe.. I really love it nice and clean..hope you come there again. Coz it's really near in anywhere places like restaurants and shopping malls.. love it.. it's really good to recommend it's just around in center in the city this hotel so good..
The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, l would highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in cebu City the hotel is so close to all shops and the room was clean and tidy with a really comfortable bed and a beautiful pool with amazing views.
Really affordable and comfortable option for our night in Cebu city. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast. Walking distance to Ayala shopping centre, restaurants and massages, and approx PHP 120 to city centre and PHP 300 to airport.
Excellent breakfast, very polite staff and comfy beds. Perfect location in Cebu city, supermarket on the ground floor and restaurants nearby. Our room had a great city view and we enjoyed the pool after long travel
I liked that the rooms felt like a home because there was a kitchen and living room area. The view from the rooms were the best anyone in Cebu City could ask for. It really is a panoramic view of the entire city.
Nice value. Business class type of hotel. Good location to explore the city for a day or two.
Some nice restaurants within walking distance of hotel.
Very nice staff.
Would recommend.
the hotel is very central and easy to get everywhere the breakfast is great and there is a great view from the rooftop pool where you can see part of the city just perfect
