Southwark Apartments was built in 2008. It was soon extended after purchasing neighboring land following the February 2011 earthquakes. The CBD has undergone massive reconstruction and experienced a large amount of additional travelers so more rooms were recently added with the addition of an extra wing which opened in the beginning of 2016. The Lundy family have always been very involved day to day, and continue to provide regular support in the successful running of the apartments. The business has a friendly, family run atmosphere along with a high level of attention to detail. Southwark Apartments hosts 56 rooms made up from 6 different room categories. All rooms have been architecturally designed and built to provide a unique urban living experience. With all the facilities modern travellers need including a shared commercial kitchen and lounge facilities, in room Netflix, free unlimited wifi, heat-pumps in every room (except our compact) guest laundry, balconies.
The Lundy family have always been very involved day to day, and continue to provide regular support in the successful running of the apartments. The business has a friendly, family run atmosphere along with a high level of attention to detail.
This area of the Christchurch CBD is very much an up and coming vibrant hub of the best restaurants and bars we have to offer. Within short walking distance you have your pick of several award winning restaurants and lively night life. We are also neighbouring several great cafes, the Christchurch Polytechnic and two large supermarkets. Not to mention all the city attractions we have to see and do!
