Property info

Kahurangi Cottage Wilderness Retreat is located on the boundary of the Kahurangi National Park, the second largest national park in New Zealand, 26km from the township of Tapawera. Surrounded by native beech forest, it is a wonderful place to get away from it all. The cottage is in a remote location in the Western Ranges of Nelson, a truly magical place to relax and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Take a walk through the bush and experience the native beech forest in complete solitude.The cottage is self contained with a fully equipped kitchen and lounge. The separate bedroom has a queen sized bed with a view of the surrounding native forest. The shower room leads off the bedroom, equipped with toiletries, soft towels and a hairdryer. Completely off grid, the cottage has solar power and gas hot water heating. Experience the night sky, while soaking in the outside bath, and relax to the sound of the river rushing by.
