Set in Windwhistle in the foothills of the Southern Alps, west of Christchurch, Gunyah Country Estate offers accommodations for guests looking to experience the nearby mountains, scenery and outdoor activities. The property features views of Mt Hutt, which is just a 25-minute drive away. The property offers two separate types of accommodations. Guests can choose luxury lodge accommodations, set in the grand rural homestead, where the hosts will personally look after you and dinner and breakfast are served in the elegant dining room. Alternatively offered at the property are self-catering holiday houses, where you can still enjoy the grounds and mountain views and the possibility of dining in The Lodge if you so wish, with prior reservation. Gunyah Estate is 45 minutes’ drive from Christchurch Airport. Ashburton is a 50-minute drive away.
