For me the best part were Sugat and Roshani, whose Homestay it is. Every morning at breakfast I would speak to one or both of them which made me feel welcome and at ease. It also made it very easy for me to ask any questions I had about for example where to go for a specific bus or place to visit, or even having Sugat help me book the bus to Pokhara. While I was gone for a few days, I could leave my bigger bag at their place. They were a fantastic support! 🙏

Location is in a quiet area, it was “just like home” with Roshani and Sugat. Nice to return to the quiet at night, away from the business of other Kathmandu areas. Roshani and Sugat are both very accommodating and kind. Was easy to communicate via whats app before and during stay. An short walk to main road and from there, walk, (or taxi) to many of the points of interest in and around Kathmandu. Roshani and Sugat were very helpful with directions, banking, SIM card, use of taxi app, places to eat and see etc etc. Lovely hosts!

The house is a tranquil oasis in a busy city. It’s not in the tourist neighborhood, so I got to see the daily life of Kathmandu residents. The hosts are kind and helpful, and the cleanliness and comfort are impeccable. I will return on my way back through Kathmandu!

Swagat Homestay was ideal for my extended stay - 10 days and later 7 days. My room was comfortable and all I could have asked for. Swagat is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Thamel and other areas of interest. However, the primary reason I chose Swagat was because of the family. Sugat, Roshini and their two children live on site and were always accessible. Within a short time I became one of their family, invited to eat in their home and even introduced to their family. Living there was a close to feeling at home as I have in nearly four months of travel. I am confident that I will travel to Nepal again and stay at Swagat.

I really enjoyed my stay here :) Planned to come for two nights and ended up in nine nights. Sugat and Roshana are great hosts and made my stay very enjoyable. You really feel like at home. My room was very cozy and clean. The location of the house was exactly what I was looking for. When you step out of it you find everything you need just around the corner. But without the shopkeepers sometimes exhausting for in tourist areas :)

Amazing homestay! Sugat and his whole family are such loving, welcoming and open hearted people. I even got invited to a beautiful birthday party of Sugat’s two years old son. Definitely recommend everyone staying in Kathmandu.

We loved the property. It is very cosy and clean. Sugat (owner) is so kind and helpful. He helped us to get the reservation for bus to Pokhara, he help us to get information about PCR test and trekking rules and etc. His wife made the best breakfast for us, they even gave medicine and green tea to my friend because of his cold. We will definitely be back to Swagat.

I really like my stay in here. Mr Suagat is always willing to help his guests. The place is very clean, organized and gives a nice vibe. I wish I stayed longer there. Also the breakfast was fabulous.
