Ruinerwold is Peregoed. That is the slogan of the village.
Ruinerwold is Peregoed. That is the slogan of the village. And it is worth a visit. Best time to go for the famous "stoofperen" would be September (check the sales date for when you can buy a tree full at the auction) Also outside this time there is plenty to see in the area. Moreover there are some nice pubs and shops. Its close proximity to Drents Friese Woud, Hunebedden, Giethoorn and cities such as Meppel and Zwolle make it a great place for a short stay or as base for a bit longer exploration of the area.TheAxe74Netherlands
