Taroudant is a small city full of life.
There is central place were everyone gather, including the few tourists, to eat and be together.
We really enjoyed the sook of course, were we could find nice marocain kraft and sweets for a reasonable price (vs expensive Marrakech:)
Next time I would stay inside the kasbah to be closer to the central square.

What you feel about Taroudant will depend on what you...
What you feel about Taroudant will depend on what you expected. We’ve been on the road three weeks so it, to us, was a small and relaxed souk. Similar to Rabat in many ways you won’t get too much hassle.

I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed.
I have visited Taroudant twice and I was never impressed. However, I have stayed outside of Taroudant in a wonderful old kasbah while traveling through Morocco. That stay has always been a highlight.

Taroundant is a wonderful city.
Taroundant is a wonderful city. It is a beautiful walled city & you can stay inside or outside. Different markets; Grand Souk & Berber souk inhabit the centre & are a maze of colour & excitement. There are western style & Moroccan restaurants & people are very friendly. Outside the city there are wonderful restaurants; eg Les Jardins, Dar Zituone, & places to visit; Agadir (1.5 hours), Chateau Claudio Bravo, botanic gardens etc.
It is a clean small city with a good vibe.

A wonderful experience !
A wonderful experience ! The ‘ real ‘ Morocco IMO , unspoiled by tourism . We were looking forward to the Sunday Market , but it was very disappointing. Lots of vegetables ( available everyday in the Medina) and a sheep and goat section, but mostly Chinese goods and farm implements .
We took a horse drawn carriage in the Medina a couple of times …it was cheap and pleasant .
The locals were quite friendly and a visit to the Berber and Arab handicraft markets were interesting .
All in all a great visit for a couple of days . Don’t miss the Palm oasis and Ancient Kasbah about a half hours drive from the Town center.

Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Lively city, good souks, lots of interest.
Very little hassle so easy to wander round and enjoy the sights.
Ideal for winter spring and autumn but would be blistering hot in summer.
Perfect distance for a couple of days out from Agadir.
Truly lovely, special grounds with beautiful and lush plant life, cute cats, and a gorgeous pool in middle. Architecturally very stunning and unique. Restaurant was yummy and room was very comfortable. Booking excursions and spa treatments is very easy thanks to all the property information they provided digitally upon check in. We did a half day tour of the souks and it couldn’t have been an easier or more delightfully personal way to explore the Taroudant medina and learn about this part of Morocco and its history.
The place is new.
The owners are European one and Moroccan the other one. So perfect to understand each other and eventually find local help for anything from shopping to emergency doctor (as it happened to us!).
So we really tested their hospitality 360 degrees and we were very happy.
There are other places in Taroudant, but the overall quality/cleaness/location/price combination/amenities, so far, for us is the best and we will definitely come back here next time.
Excellent location in the heart of Taroudant yet very quiet. The riad is very beautiful and has a lovely roof terrace, the bed was huge and comfortable. The owner is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Parking Derb Lhchich is very close by and costs 20dh for a night. Next to the riad is a tiny restuarant with orange tablecloths and a nice old couple make tasty tagines for the cheapest price we had in all Morocco!
Shukran bezzef!
Beautifully laid out in lovely gardens. We stayed in the Berber village with lovely swimming pool.
Everything was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and keen to help. Lunch menu was fantastic, with great wine choices. It was a welcome treat after having toured rural Morocco and eating traditional cuisine so a switch to French was lovely.
Very clean
Located in the heart of Taroudante

The stuff are very very very nice and helpful
The rooms are well decorated
The terrace is gorgeous in the morning hours
You get a key to both, the main door and your room,

This hotel is a charming Riad in Taroudant just steps away from the medina. The decor in the Riad was beautiful and very traditional. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was good but the dinner was exceptional, I ordered a kefta tajine.
The staff were very polite and helpful, with everything.
I highly recommend this Riad!
Location was fairly convenient for Town centre, shops and souk. Not too far from bus station.Safe and secure and quiet.Riad style with rooftop terrace for breakfast.
Arranged for motorbike to take me to a good restaurant in a nice hotel for dinner with wine.(Property recently taken over by French owners who also own Hotel/Restaurant)
Just amazing, the nicest place we stayed in on our whole trip round Morocco. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, food was so tasty, and the building/rooms/layout itself was just spectacular. Like a boutique hotel. Perfect little swimming pool that the kids enjoyed, our room was huge and decorated beautifully
Domaine Villa Taala is a palatial retreat, evoking the ambiance of an old castle. The rooms are spacious, as is the pool, and the garden is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the drive to the village of Taroudant is only 7 minutes away.

Beautifull pool and chill area on the roof. The owners are super friendly, the atmosphere is very warm and relaxing. Beautifull rooms. Safe and free parking space. Good location in one of my favorite local villages of Morocco.
Said, The owner of this accommodation is courteous and helpful
He prepared a good breakfast for me
He promised that he will do some renovation in his house
He propose also treks in the region of Taroudant
Staff was excellent. Truly cared about the quests. Room was very spacious and unique as was bathroom. Great balcony. Nice layout with many patios and a pool. Location in the heart of the markets.
Location of the hotel is very central, yet it is perfectly quiet and relaxing. Pool was quite big and clean. We enjoyed the food very much, especially the organic orange chicken tajine.
We loved our stay here! The property is located right next to centre of Taroudant and it’s quiet and has the cosiest vibe. Thank you Said for making us feel like home :)
