Amazing Riga view from the window from the room on the 9th floor and while using the escalator! Very polite and helpful staff. I enjoyed the evening in the SPA for 10 extra euros. The "Swedish table" style breakfast was included with a huge selection of different types of food. We could enjoy the food we usually eat and taste something new. Parking was free and next to the property. We were provided with the disabled chair that we needed. Coffee maker and the fridge in the room. Also, we used a hairdresser's service in the hotel facilities.

The hotel is not far from the center. There are supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance. The price was super cheap and, overall, the cost vs. quality rate is fairly high.
The room has a small fridge which, considering the hotel does not offer breakfast, may be useful to keep refrigerated breakfast items such as milk, yogurt, and so on.

Excellent location, close to everything. The staff at reception were so helpful, special thanks to Amanda who checked us in! The rooms were spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. Breakfast was great, with a wide variety of food. Housekeeping was very efficient cleaning our room while we were having breakfast. The hotel is stunning, and such good value for the price. Riga is a very attractive city with a picturesque Old Town and a newer area which includes many beautiful Art Nouveau buildings. There are many nice parks and green spaces. There are many bars, cafes and restaurants and prices are reasonable. As well as Latvian and Russian, English is widely spoken. Public transport - buses and trams - is very efficient and inexpensive. Walking around is easy though many areas in the Old Town are cobbled and might prove difficult for some. One hazard is people travelling around very fast on e-scooters that are almost silent and can rush up behind you without warning.

Riga is a very photogenic city.
Riga is a very photogenic city. The buildings are gorgeous and there are some great surprises when you explore on your on. I never take an organized tour.
Plenty of restaurants.
I cooked in most of my meals.
But the food in the city is very good.
Walk the Riga Canal! Always beautiful no matter what time of year.
I personally like "Lido" which is near the beautiful Orthodox church.
It has been a favorite since my first visit to Riga.

Loved walking around the old town, the 'quiet centre',...
Loved walking around the old town, the 'quiet centre', central market. We didn't plan our visits very well because all museums are closed on Monday so we didn't get to see as many as we had hoped.
We took the train out to Jurmala (beach) which was lovely but we were blessed with great weather.
Learn to say 'hello' and 'thank you' in Latvia. It goes a long way.
Latvians are very polite and we found Riga to be extremely clean.
Oh, great coffee too!
Excellent location, very close to the bus and train station, and also - literally a few steps to the old town. Breakfast was just delicious, great selection, lovely area, very bright. Staff very helpful and professional. Very smooth check-in and check out. There is also a direct connection to the Airport, by bus - and I paid just around €1 for a bus! Bus stop is actually nearly at the door step of the hotel. You can easily walk around and you will be able to reach most of the Riga tourist attractions within up to 20 minutes walking.
This hotel was amazing - I was hesitant to stay here at first because it's not directly in the old city center but it is actually the perfect location! It's right in between the old town and the new area with all the good restaurants for locals. The room was really huge and it was decorated beautifully. The bed and pillows were comfy and there were chairs and a nice big TV with a ton of channels. The breakfast was great as well. I stay at hundreds of hotels per year and I LOVED this hotel. The spa is super clean and nice.
This old style, atmospheric boutique hotel is located right at the heart of Rīga's embassy district, with many good restaurants around. Old Town is within walking distance. The price of the stay was really bargain. Very helpful, experienced owner/administrator, who is willing to assist you as much as she can. She even borrowed me her own umbrella, as I was totally unprepared for some heavy rain during my time in the Latvian capital. Very recomended.
Perfect location for old town (which is where you want to be in Riga). 95% of anything you're likely to want to visit in Riga is within walking distance. Very clean hotel. Quirky, shabby chic style inside - looks better than the photos online. Family room had a good-sized double/twin and separate good sized single bed. Buffet breakfast perfectly good for a short break. Easy to get to from airport by taxi or local bus (#22).
Beyond any words, one of the most comfortable hotel I stayed in my multiple trips. My best compliments to the Hotel stuff, very caring and polite. Comfy bed, pillows. Cleaniness rate 20 out of 10. Location is perfect, it’s in old town so you can get any bar, shop and many sights around just walking around. A good range of tasty dishes for the breakfast for any taste. I’d love to return once I’m again in Riga. Thank you!
Excellent hotel. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was tasty and a good variety. Location is walking distance to everything in old town.. What makes this hotel stand out is the staff and service though, they go above and beyond to make guests happy. Special thanks to Linda who drove me to the bus station because it was raining and I could not find a taxi! Will be back. Thank you :)
The staff was amazing and helpful, the room very elegant and cozy, the bathroom - luxurious. Breakfast was very good and served with style. the location is very convenient - between Old Town and center. Apart from other hotels with pools in Riga, this place was more open and reasonable requiring only negative COVID test result to attend the SPA and pool. Children were welcome as well.
The hotel's location was definitely a highlight for me us it was conveniently situated in the heart of Riga. I appreciated being within walking distance to Old Town, many attractions, shops, and restaurants.
The room we stayed in was pleasantly spacious, providing ample space to move around comfortably. The bed was also exceptionally cozy, ensuring a good night's sleep.
In the heart of Latvija... in the heart of Riga :)
What a wounderfull city as well as Tallinn...
This Hotel, located in the city center of Riga had it all also.
A spacious room with all equipement needed, a nice view over the old town.
A delicious breakfast and the staff were friendly. Thank you, we will certainly come back again...
Hotel has good position, not far from the airport, as well as from the old town. Personal was very kind, we got upgraded room which was bigger and nice. We left hotel early in the morning so we cannot comment breakfast. Also we didn't have time to use other hotel facilities. Regardless, we recommend this hotel to everyone.
The place is in good location and it was easy to walk to the Old Town and not far from the bus station either since I came to Riga by bus. The room was a bit difficult to find first but with the cheaper price it was quite nice, especially for one night. Just a bit old decoration and furniture style but it was nice.
perfect location in the center of the old town of Riga.
quite big apartment, huge king size bed, very comfy. we were worried about noise from the bar below the apartment, but it was quiet and calm. tons of restaurants and bars close by, magnificent historic buildings.
I can recommend this property!
The location of The Grand Palace Hotel is superb for exploring Riga Old Town with so many top sights and restaurants all within easy walking distance. Connection to the airport is easy by local bus No 22 or if one prefers the hotel can arrange for private transfer.
Hestia Hotel Draugi was perfect for our short stay in Riga. The breakfast was really good and so was our room. Small but perfect for our needs. It's in the old town, thus within walking distance from every main attraction. We would definitely recommend it!
Beautiful hotel in historical building, in the hearth of old town of Riga. Very comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, fantastic restaurant and the kindest and the most wonderful staff! Especial thanks to Hasan and Doni! Live music on some evenings.
The hotel was in a GREAT location. Right on the edge of the Old Town, less than 200m from the bus station, close to several transit lines and near a lot of good restaurants. The morning breakfast was good and hearty.
Value for money! Well placed hotel for old town and Riga in general. Staff helpful and spa area very good. Decoration in hotel slightly dated and tired but facilities generally good and breakfast was good.
Laundry is available onsite for free! Great location, incredibly easy to get around old town. The staff were warm and welcoming! The hotel restaurant was fantastic, I enjoyed breakfast!
Wonderful hotel. Modern, spacious and very clean room. Great breakfast selection. The hotel staff are very attentive and helpful. Easy access to the Riga old town via bus or by car.
