We had a fabulous time at Villa Kubura. Sudath and Dammi are wonderful hosts and continually go the extra mile to ensure the happiness of their guests. There were lots of unexpected touches - bowls of fresh flower petals, candles, fresh lime soda brought to the poolside and constant supplies of tea, coffee and cookies. Dammi is an excellent cook and was very happy to share her recipes and methods. The food was the best we had anywhere in Sri Lanka. The property itself is beautiful, set in rice paddies a 10 minute TukTuk ride from the seafront at Hikkaduwa. The guest rooms are large and comfortable with excellent AC , good beds and excellent showers. The overall atmosphere of Villa Kubura is of a beautiful and tranquil oasis with a personal butler service.

The staff were awesome and really accommodating. We were really lucky and had the whole property to ourselves, we got to choose timing for breakfast and they event organised a tuk driver for us for the weekend!

We had booked 3 days at the end of our 1 month trip around Sri Lanka. Villa Kubra was our penultimet stop...it did not disappoint! The place was built with love and attention to detail by Sudath and Dammi. They were the perfect hosts in such a tranquil environment surrounded by nature and their beautiful garden. We ate at Villa Kubura on two nights and feasted like never before. It was by far the best traditional Sri Lankan food we have tasted on our trip. Sudath and Dammi completely deserve the score of 10 they have received on booking.com and this is reflected by the feedback others have left. I highly recommend a stay for a few nights to unwind, relax, inhale the nature and dine on fantastic food made by this wonderful couple.

One of the most peaceful and outstanding places I have ever stayed at. Serene and beautiful. Exotic birds and plants everywhere. The location is second to none and the pool spectacular. It was more like a Luxury homestay, due to the very personal attention of the unbelievably kind hosts, Sudath and Dammi. We even did a fantastic cooking class with Dammi! We will definitely return to this Paradise!

Couldn’t have asked for more. From the moment we arrived at Villa Kubura we were treated exceptionally, every little detail was thought of from cold face towels on our arrival through to complimentary fruit drinks tea and coffee. The villa is better in person than the photos - a truly beautiful place and spectacular location. Do try a meal here freshly cooked one of our favourite Sri Lankan meals so far. A delight!

Die Villa Kubura ist perfekt! Wir haben uns wie in einem Palast gefühlt. Sudath hat dieses Haus liebevoll und stilsicher gestaltet, man schläft in großen Zimmern unter hohen Decken auf einem wunderbar bequemen Bett, das Licht ist indirekt und warm, überall sieht man schöne Details, selbst die Lampen im Bad sind besonders! Im ganzen Haus duftet es angenehm, selbst der Boden ist unglaublich glatt und sauber. Die Pflegeprodukte sind von einer Naturkosmetiklinie und duften nach Zimt und Neem. Wir haben in der Villa zu Abend gegessen und jedes einzelne Curry war umwerfend! Könnte ich 12 Punkte statt 10 geben, ich würde nicht zögern und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Невероятное место! Нереально красиво! Советую каждому здесь остановиться, хотя бы на 2-3 дня. Спокойное и уединённое место, до океана 10 мин на тук-туке, никаких проблем. Хозяин с женой очень добрые и обходительные люди, всегда помогут чем смогут. Номер большой и красивый, как сама вилла! Бурундуки вместо белок у них ) а по утрам есть вероятность увидеть павлинов в живой среде! Шикарные местные завтраки! Такого вы не попробуете у океана. В общем всем рекомендую!
