At the top of Adam's Peak it is quite cold and windy, you will be walking up and sweating. In order not to freeze at the top while you wait for dawn, I advise you to take extra dry clothes to change at the top (there is a toilet there), a windbreaker and a thermos with hot water. And don't forget the sunscreen, as soon as the sun comes out it won't spare you. This is an amazing place call mountain Malaya, where Guru Rinpoche gave Tantric Teachings in the Tibetan tradition for the first time on earth. And also the place of Dakinis. Glad that you will be there. Make a wish for the benefit of all sentient beings(you are one of them ;)) ! :)

There is a lake and Tea Gardens nearby. However you cannot visit either of them. You can only drive around and take in the views.
What is quite nice is to climb up the Adams' Peak. The climb is good for those who like climbing and hiking.

We got to the top of Adam's peak to find a locked gate- very disappointing, as we couldn't get a view of the other side of the mountain! Apparently it is only open in season and I think this should be changed

This is a site every visitor to Sri Lanka should travel to.
This is a site every visitor to Sri Lanka should travel to. Which has historical, cultural value, hiking experience very difficult to find on most other tourist destinations. Can complete in one day (one night booking). Just about 4 hours travel from the capital, Colombo. All year cold temperature.

It's amazing area to travel.
It's amazing area to travel. Specially adam's peak is the most enjoyable hiking mountain with sri lankan traditional activities. All can enjoy with the mountain view and the waterfalls. There are lots of hotels and restaurants in that area with relevant prices.
We stayed here for one night to do Adam’s Peak and we were very happy that we picked the Green View Guest Inn. The host went above and beyond, giving us egg sandwiches for the hike up and a lovely breakfast when we returned. Due to the large amount of crowds (because of the extended weekend in Sri Lanka), the hike took us longer than expected. However, she very kindly let us extend our check-out time. The beds were very comfortable and there was hot-water in the room.
It is located 10-15min walk from the center, which is perfect. In the evening they made a fire in the shared living room, since it gets cold at night, so it felt very cozy. Akram + Prince were extremely friendly and helpful. They organized a trip to a tea factory and Horton's Plain for very fair prizes and gave many recommendations for restaurants, etc. Breakfast was good with fried eggs, toast, yoghurt and banana.
- Perfect location for hiking Adam’s peak and exploring the beautiful surroundings.
- Great balcony view.
- Amazing friendly and helpful staff who look after you from the moment you arrive at the train station until you jump back on the train.
- Excellent food! I had the rice and curry twice which was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Sri Lanka.
Everything ! I 100% recommend!
The location is very nice and directly on the path to Adam’s peak.
The hosts are so nice, I had dinner (which was very good) and tea there. I went for a walk with the owner and they let me borrow an umbrella for them. Regarding what you get for the price, it was for sure the best hotel I’ve been to in Sri Lanka so far.
From the start, their welcome was excellent. Rooms are ver clean and nice. Also their foods, sweets and tea are very delicious. They treated us very very friendly. Garden also very attractive They have many beautiful flower beds. Specially, owner is very kind, friendly and can manage any situation. That was my ever experienced perfect stay.
Dilani made my trip to Adams Peak so special, and was definetly one of my best stays in Sri Lanka. Not only was it just at the entrance to Adams Peak, Dilani also offered nice rooms and delicious, traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, after I returned from the peak. He also helped me with transport to the south after my stay in Dalhousie.
we stayed there second time. the best place to book if you want to go to the adams peak. host prepared wonderful dinner and also some snacks for our journey to the mountain. that was super nice. Rooms itself are clean and spacious with great view. host also helped us with transfer and was super nice and welcoming.
I had a fantastic experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location provided breathtaking views. The hotel's amenities and services exceeded my expectations, making my stay truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Siyumi Hotel
The room size was ok and the bathrooms were clean. breakfast was also good but not much varieties. Whatever we requested we got everything. The staff member Ranjan is really good and nice guy. From the hotel to the Adam's Peak entry is just walking distance.
I have been there two times and it's one of the best hotels I have ever visited. The staff is amazing. They have very friendly and supportive staff. The view is stunning,Food was delicious and we had a really good time there,we'll definitely go there again.
Such a lovely and friendly family they made me some nice sri lankan breakfast after the adams peak hike and in the evening dinner if you want, can only recommend this homestay! would definitely come again! Thankyou for everything🙏
convenient for Adams Peak hike. Close to the trail. Very nice staff. Nice views, good breakfast. Prepare snack box for the hike and advise me the right timing. Rooms simple but OK for the price.
They didn't supply meals at all. Location of the place is ok. But rooms are in 2nd floor and very difficult to reach there.Because of the very narrow stair case and no hand railing to spport .
Great stay over for Adams Peak! Lovely homemade Sri Lankan food, and the staff couldn’t do enough to help you! They even let us keep our room until 3pm so we could shower post hike.
