We are just 1 km from the city centre. Walking distance to the temple of the tooth. All the rooms has bathrooms with hot water showers. Two bathrooms has the comfort of a bidet. All the guest rooms has sitting and lounge areas and we would like our guests to be comfortable and homely. I could pick you from the railway station or the Kandy city center shopping mall which is a land mark if you arrive late in after 8 pm at can arrange a pick up in my VW Beetle (1969) so please inform. The "Udawatte Kele" The Royal forest"nature reserve 500 meters from our Home stay. Day trips could be arranged to Sigiriya,Polonnaruwa,Nuwara Eliya and Elephant orphanage either by bus,taxi or tuk tuk. We are within walking distance to Temple of tooth and Kandy lake. Hikes and bicycle rides arranged. We are registered to accommodate foreign guests and registered with Srilanka Tourist board. Local travellers are kindly discouraged to make reservations as our home stay does not suit your expectations. We are close to the city in a urban neighbourhood

I live with my wife. Our two children left home employment and higher education so the extra space is available for guests. We have altogether 2 rooms out of which 1 is for solo travellers. There are patios for smoking. Our home is a quiet and easy to access. Walking distance to the city centre. Bicycle rides and hikes to local mountains and other interesting places not on the tourist map could be arranged. Day trips to Sigiriya and Dambulla or Pinnawela elephant orphanage could be arranged in 50 year old classic VW bus.

We are close to the city but the "Udawatte kele" forest sanctuary is not even half a km away from the home stay so a walk to the forest is easy.Plenty of local birds, a hermitage and the tropical flora and fauna with ancient trees are the highlights of this forest. If you are a early riser you could take a walk to the forest near by and watch the birds and the other small animals throw off their sleep and get ready for another day. The Temple of the tooth,Royal Botanical Garden's and the Hanthane tea museum is close by. You could visit Sigiriya,Polonnaruwa and Nuwara Eliya from Kandy as day trips by trains or buses or hire a taxi. There are many direct buses to Air port from Kandy. Please note that we are located in a urban neighborhood.
