I have to admit the only context I had heard about Busan...
I have to admit the only context I had heard about Busan before my trip was a horror movie about zombies (Train to Busan)
But the movie was enough to make me curious to find out more about the city.
I discovered an interesting story and the great potential that this city has.
The visit was even more impressive than I ever thought it would be.
In addition to the beautiful beach and the Gamcheon culture village, the entire surrounding area is also beautiful and offers, for example, the most beautiful temple in Korea.
Right on the water next to cliffs. Really a must when the weather is good.
I would have liked to have stayed more than 2 days and explored the Gamcheon Culture Village even more.

Lots to do!
Lots to do! Eat at the local restaurants, check out the International market, walk around Shinsegae Mall and Lotte Mall, see the temples and enjoy other tours. It's a quick train ride away from Seoul too. Transportation is everywhere. KakaoT is the "Uber" service there, trolleys and trains are available too if you want to explore. We took the trolley and made random stops along the way to the International Market. Definitely eat at the Mom and Pop local restaurants. they will feed you well. The people here are friendly.

It is a place of awesome sights and great bargains.
It is a place of awesome sights and great bargains. The local people were very friendly and approachable. They are willing to assist you if you had problems in riding their subway though there is also a language barrier.
Busan is also accessible to other historic sites like Gyeongju and Ulsan. Seoul is just a quick train ride away. But the inspectors at Gimhae airport are quite rough and they should indicate which items should not be carried in the hand luggage They confiscated my boxes of instant porridge which I bought from a grocery without telling me why. Such rough behaviour may spoil one's otherwise a pleasurable stay in Busan.

I loved it.
I loved it. The city and Stanford Hotel were amazingly unique. Take the city tour; at least the red one from Busan station. Beware that it climbs on very high merger to the bridge.
Try to eat at a variety of places especially at the Lotte mall. Buses are wonderful yet the subway is easier.

Busan beats Seoul hands down.
Busan beats Seoul hands down. The observatory looks down the city with fantastic city lights is very impressive. The hike to the Bemeosa Temple is physically exhausting but the view at the very top is breath-taking. There is a ruined mountain top fortress that plunges down seaside walkway. It is called the best temple in Korea. The hotel rooms are much more spacious than those in Seoul.
I've stayed at this location before. Staff friendly and accommodated my change of travel days. They were able to keep me in the same room after I had to make another change to my travel days. Close to 5 minutes walk to Haeundae Beach, conveniently near coffee shops, local restaurants, bars, convenient stores, bus lines Busan Sealife Aquarium. And the views were great. City and some ocean. Saw street performers from our room. Great view. 👍🏼 affordable with or without splitting the cost with friends.
I booked a 3 night/4 day stay in Busan and there was so much to do and every amenity taken care of here I NEVER left the hotel! I loved all of the amazing facilities, an in-house convenience store, Starbucks, multiple restaurants, art galleries, pools, full gym, bar/lounge, sauna. Honestly it was the best mini vacation I have ever been on. The staff were so kind and accommodating to my English. It was a great experience as a solo traveler and I will only be staying here when I visit Busan from now on.
My stay at the Best Western Hotel was simply amazing. The staff at the hotel provided us with a room with ocean view (even though we didn't book it) . The TV was great, with many English movie channels to watch. The matress was firm (which is how I prefer). I think the only thing I would add would be more pillows. Besides that, I really recommend everyone that is staying in Busan to stay here. Very central (close to the metro) and right next to the beach! 10/10 really
There was an error in my booking so I made two separate bookings for two consecutive nights. The staff were helpful and aranged us a GREAT room to stay both nights. It is the best hotel room we stayed in Korea so far, great view of ocean, very spacious, huge TV with netflix all amenities. They even have an LG drying cabinet to dry clean stuff quickly, on every floor.
Breakfast isn't huge but it has pretty much everything to get your morning fill.
It’s really close to the Haeundae Beach! Many cafes and restaurants around, great location! Staff is friendly and helpful! We preferred not to have a daily cleaning in our room (since it was a couple of nights stay) and they had clean towels, water and other stuff at our room doors every morning 👍👍👍 I also traveled with my dog, and it’s really wonderful they let you stay with your pet here in Bellia Hotel
Thank you for your nice service!💖
This was the best stay during our time in South Korea. The hotel was very close to the exit 12 of the subway, the guy at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious and is the first ever I have experienced to contain both a bath tub and a separate shower. It contained a very comfy and big bed and had a big screen TV offering Netflix. They also provided a lot of amenities and is the best value for the price.
Location absolutely perfect, facilities sufficient and the hotel is quick in their response in case of any questions. Also very clean when we arrived, so absolutely worth the money to stay here!
Tip: Jagalchi fish market just across the street, Busan tower and Gukje market walking distance, Lotte mall very near. Take the metro to Haeundae beach, or busstop in front of the hotel to the Gamcheon cultural village!
Really beautiful hotel in the perfect location to explore the city. The rooms are spacious and well designed with a massive amount of storage. Our floor was freshly renovated and they were renovating others when we were there (but no noise or disturbance from this). Staff great and the reception and garden are on the top floor, very cool. Best hotel we've stayed in whilst in South Korea.
Good location. Walking distance to a number of places of interests and food. You can walk to Bupyeong, Gukje and Jagalchi markets. Also withing walking distance are 2 subway stations, Nampo and Jagalchi, and Busan Tower. There is also a direct bus, 1003, to Haeundae beach, 4mins walk to the bus stop from the hotel.
Typical City Hotel. A bit oldish, but really OK. Good WiFi. Perfect location for BEXCO and City Center Mall. Even Haeundae Beach is easy reachable. Good connection to Metro. And they have a direct airport bus as well. Comfortable rooms. Super market and coffee shop directly in hotel. Very fast lifts.
Fantastic location. 10 mins walk to Haeundae Beach. Took bus from Busan Station and alight directly in front of the hotel. Surrounded by many cafes. There are 2 halal RESTAURANTS around the area. Room is equipped with all the essentials. Easy access to the subway too.
The location was very good, directly on the Beach and close to the panoramic train that takes you to the Haeundae Beach
Very clean room and during our stay the room was cleaned and the towels changed
The hotel has the laundry automat, which is very good
In front of Haeundae Beach. A lot of restaurants near by, stops for bus to take you to Yonggungsa Temple. Very clean, spacious room. Good breakfast buffet. Staffs were really nice, friendly and helpful. One even called a taxi for us to our next hotel.
MAMA Guesthouse was in great location, next to Haeundae beach and the market and many places to eat and drink. It was cozy and very clean. The owner welcomed us and helped us with everything we asked! It’s a great place to stay while you’re in Busan!
The hotel is just a minute away from the subway. It's also near Busan Station, but if you have a big luggage, it would be hard to walk there. Best to get a taxi so you don't have to lug your suitcases around.
It’s right by Haeundae Beach. Walking distance to the sky capsule and beach train. Also close to the market.
Also short distance to the airport limousine bus which was luckily still running.
I love the location! There were lots of food options and shops around the hotel and it was less than a 5 min walk to Haeundae Beach. The staff were also helpful and accomodating.
The room was a decent size, and had a beautiful view of Haeundae beach! It was just minutes away from the hotel.
Lots of restaurants and shops around the area also
