Buzzing city with a lot of restaurants, bars and social places. Easy modes of transport. Highway has made it wonderful to go from airport to town and vice versa. Lots of greenery and access to game lodges and parks. Lots of high rise buildings too which is not so nice.

loved Nairobi elephant orphanage and giraffe Centre a must - we also saw Bomas of Kenya and some museums. Also visited a tea farm which was a great relaxing day. Restaurants we visited were very nice. People very friendly - easiest way to get around is make sure you have uber app although be careful of them trying to hike price up when they realize you are tourists. Try not to arrange visits for peak travel time as roads are extreamly busy and can be scary. Also if there it is an absolute must to book safari.

I like that there are small privately owned shops and street hawkers. I prefer shopping at individual stalls as opposed to a department store. The food at The Olive Restaurant is a good value. I'd love to look around Simlaw Seeds; I used to have a farm and will return to farming.

Nairobi is a great vibe - offers differentiated experiences depending on your likes, budget and reasons for stay. Transport is easy - choose Uber and make life easy. Beautiful malls and friendly people.

It was probably the best stay we had in Kenya!
First and foremost, Milany is a great host - very helpful, friendly and just a super nice person.
The apartment is comfortable, well-furnished and very clean. No problems with hot water, and there is even a private balcony where you can dry your clothes. It is really close to the airport and to the train station, which makes it the best choice if you travel and want to avoid the crowded center of Nairobi. Also, there is a great restaurant in the neighborhood that delivers meals to Milany Homes.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Jonathan at check-in showed us to our room and was our first main contact person. Miguel entertained my wife every time we went to the lobby with his stories of overcoming adversity to achieve a successful job. Samuel from the general staff entertained us through dinner with his experiences and perspectives on living in Kenya. Overall, the staff was one of the best parts of our stay, which has never happened at another hotel. Exceptional service.
Beautiful 5 star hotel ambience with even more beautiful staff! Extremely professional and pleasant from each department. From the management, front desk/reception, security, housekeeping, both restaurant staff; each encounter was always a prompt and efficient. My family cannot thank the Dusit Princess Hotel team enough for making our stay exceptional we had extend our stay! We will most certainly return when in Nairobi again and have already shared with family and friends.
Really nice and friendly staff. Clean beautiful room with confortable bed. Quiet environnement.
Great location in Karen, South West outside of Nairobi: best alternative if you arrive from the airport and want to be on the right side of the city to departe for Masai Mara the next morning. Quiet green area close to several of the main attractions in Nairobi (giraffe sanctuary, Karen Blixen museum and several top restaurants). You will need a car/uber to drive you around.
Ace Suites Apartments is situated on a very charming and safe residential street in Westlands: You can hear the birds sing and enjoy peace and quiet at the pool -- although being almost in til center of Nairobi!
The host Linda replied right away, and she was accommodating when we had questions or wishes.
We would gladly come again and we recommend Ace Suites Apartments to everyone wanting to live near downtown Nairobi and live in a safe and well-guarded compound.
Situated between the city centre and Westlands, so very central for most places. It had a large carpark with security and staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. When we checked into our room it was facing the toll booth so we asked to be moved due to the noise all night and then we had a garden facing room which was much better (room numbers 1-16). There’s no lift so if you have trouble with stairs ask for a room on the 2nd floor.
Booked first for 5 nights had to extend again for 5 more, the staff are great and the breakfast was too, room service was quick with a wide menu selection.
The location is superb in Westlands Nairobi, next to one of the best mall in EA,with good shops, restaurants and a good food court as well.
Loved everything.
An excellent, reasonably priced hotel well situated and fairly equidistant between Nairobo Jomo Kenyatta airport and Nairobi Wilson airport for anybody making connections. We arrived late and left the next morning so difficult to fully assess but anyway happy to recommend as a transit hotel.
Relatively close to the airport (20 minutes by taxi), so no need to travel to or through central Nairobi.
The room and the hotel in general were clean enough.
As is often the case in Kenya, the staff were generally friendly and helpful and were open to negotiation.
The hotel was located close to where I had to be, that's why I chose it. It is in the Westlands of Nairobi and therefore in a very good and rather safe area. pleant of restaurants and malls nearby, easily reached by Uber. Staff is not overbearing
The hotel is located just 5 minutes from the airport terminal, which is convenient for airline cabin crew and travelers who need a hotel for the night while transiting through Nairobi to another destination.
Great new hotel near the airport and train station. Perfect spot for transiting through Nairobi. Very clean, great service, good food, easy, and convenient. It truly is cozy! Great staff!!!
The property is situated near all the amenities needed, that is; near stores (Naivas & Quick mart), near bus stops (matatu terminus) and a short distance to Nairobi CBD.
Excellent for long stays, great location for the CBD, cleaned very well, good shower (rare in Kenya), very safe. Gym and roof terrace are a real highlight.
Nice hotel on arriving in Kenya. They picked up from airport for 40 bucks which is less than other hotels quoted and the room was comfortable. Great stay
Really spacious apartment, good location that was very quiet at night, easy walking distance to lots of great food options in Westlands and also the CBD
